My adult daughter and I rented the 2 bedroom apartment for a 4 night stay in January. The Inn was spotlessly clean, comfortable and charming, but even better, the staff was just wonderful. We had some internet connectivity issues the first afternoon, but they were quickly fixed--and staff checked in to be sure that things were fine throughout our stay.... More

My wife and I travel a fair amount both domestically and internationally, but almost always stay in hotels. This was our first bed and breakfast. Everything was fantastic. The price was really good, especially when you consider that parking was free. It was close to the park and great restaurants. The owners were enormously hospitable and helpful, suggesting sights and... More

We stayed after our Christmas party and we had a great room, comfortable bed and woke up to an amazing breakfast and friendly staff. The room was clean and the property is very well maintained. The dining room where breakfast was served was clean and warm.

I booked via hotels.com a while ago and booking didn't go through due to credit card payment. This made me think that I did not need to actually cancel the booking but I found out that later that booking information came back. With general rule, I had to pay penalty because it would have been too late to cancel but... More

We had the pleasure of staying at the English Bay Inn for 4 nights. Each day, we were like kids at Christmas time, anticipating our next delicious breakfast! The inn is well located a short walk from many restaurants, markets, cafes and English Bay beach. It's convenient for catching buses into downtown Vancouver and is in a safe neighborhood. I... More

I travel a lot. First time staying in a B and B. This one is awesome. The hosts are incredible and the chef "Alberto" OMG he could cook for me everyday. Hotels are cold and boring compared to this type of cozy stay. Book here, you wont regret it. Super close to Stanley park and you can walk all of... More

This is my second time at staying at a Bed & Breakfast. I cannot even compare the two as the English Bay Inn was by far the best experience overall. The house is very welcoming and comfortable. The rooms are elegantly decorated. The beds are comfy with top of the line linens and duvets. Toiletries supplied are abundant and are... More

My husband and I spent only one night (boo!) in this lovely inn. It is a lovely home with stunning decor. Our bedroom was cozy and immaculate with beautiful bedding. Breakfast was set in a gorgeous dining room and Alberto cooks up delicious food. The setting is quiet and picturesque and very close to Stanley Park in the West End.... More

Alberto and Jacob and their breakfasts are the stars of this establishment. The room was pretty good although compact. The boys could not do enough and had thought of most things. We were really grateful to receive a bottle of wine for our silver wedding anniversary. The location makes this place, so close to Stanley Park plus we were blessed... More

Staying in West End

Neighborhood Profile
West End
A hodgepodge of landscapes, the West End combines verdant gardens and blocky modern architecture, with Victorian bits and Edwardian bobs in between. It is a paradise for takeout food, take-away coffee, and perhaps incongruously, some of Vancouver's most languid lines of beachfront. English Bay and Sunset Beach invite swimmers, strollers, and picnic-lovers to take in dusk settling over the water, or to jog along with the sunrise, offering breathtaking views at any time of day. The West End merges together so many looks and flavors probably because it functions a hub: its the leafy pit-stop between nightlife and entertainment venues along Davie Street, and the shopping paradise that is Robson Street, offering visitors beautiful parkland to rest on, and quick, easy food to re-fuel with in between ventures.
