We are experienced travellers and have stayed at many B & B's. Barb served the best gourmet breakfasts we've ever had. Bob had lots of helpful sightseeing tips and gave us a great itinerary as an initial introduction to Vancouver. Our suite, (Pacific West) was extremely comfortable and peaceful, with lots of room and many thoughtful touches. We also liked... more

Barb is great, the location is perfect and the five course breakfasts were wonderful. We stayed for five days and never had to buy a lunch after a breakfast so filling. We loved it!!!! Thanks Barb, hope to visit again soon. Ken and Marianne Turnbull Aiken, SC more

Please do visit again. We loved those southern accents! We're glad you enjoyed the breakfasts. Guess the size of the breakfast is what is meant by "breakfast fit for a Mountie". Although most guests request the gourmet breakfast we do have self-serve continentals and box breakfasts for guests preferring lighter fare.

We had a wonderful time at this quaint B&B and the suggestions from the owner with regards to sightseeing were very helpful. The gourmet, healthy breakfasts were a real treat and the presentation was superb. Thank you so much for a wonderful stay Barb. Caren, Tom, Kurt and York more

Thanks for your comments. We enjoyed the conversations we had with the four of you! We're glad that the suggestions for sightseeing were helpful. Our guests are enjoying our brochure wall, the TreeHouse self-guided tour, and the concierge service for commission free bookings of tours. We sampled a new boat tour just this past Saturday. It was wonderful with perfect...

Beds extremely comfortable, breakfasts truly gourmet (and generous enough to allow for gluttony!) My room opened to a courtyard. Hosts helpful and friendly without being intrusive. Lovely decor, lots of unique artwork. Plenty of guidebooks and tourist information, including some discount coupons for local attractions. Peaceful location in Kerrisdale, bus stop just down the street, and Vancouver buses very easy... more

It was great having you stay with us. Didn’t the music by Miche Baker-Harvey and Steve take breakfast over the top! Miche and Steve are friends from the world wide Contra Dance community. Members from that community visit us often throughout the year. Miche and Steve's performance was one of many. We’ve also had bagpipes, sax, guitar, and singing. Oh,...

Barb (owner) and Sergio (staff) were always so kind and caring. Their breakfast is a REAL gastronomic treat - but you won't know what I'm talking about until you try it. The rooms are very comfortable, great decoration and all. They do vary a lot in size, so watch out. A Treehouse is not far the shopping & restaurant region... more

Thanks for taking the time to post a review! What would we do without Mario, now with us for over 9 years? His careful attention to detail is very much appreciated by our guests. And, he speaks Portuguese to boot! We’re very lucky to have him on our team. Most guests find our Pacific West Suite with over 700 sq...

Barb is a delightful and knowledgeable hostess and serves 4+course breakfasts that are delectabe! We were so full from her delicious creations that we couldn't eat lunch but that saved us time for other activities- like checking out the incredible gardens that are literally blocks from the house. We were traveling while the area was having a heat wave which... more

Management response from

The heat wave moved on, thank goodness! We now have air conditioning in our TreeTop Suite and air coolers and fans in all other rooms. Although Vancouver has few days that get hot enough for their use, it’s comforting to know we have them if needed. We’re glad you enjoyed Vijs, one of our favourite restaurants for Indian food and...

We stayed with Barb and Bob for a week while attending our son's wedding in Vancouver. The rooms were very comfortable and it was surprisingly quiet for being in the city. Barb's 5 course breakfasts were utterly delicious and a wonderful way to start the day. Every day at breakfast we had interesting conversations with the other guests who came... more

It was great having you stay with us for an extended period. We loved the excitement surrounding your son’s wedding. We agree that Kerrisdale is a beautiful area with lots of great shopping and quite a few small, but delightful restaurants. Kerrisdale is convenient to downtown, the university and the airport yet quiet and away from the downtown bustle.

not enough words describe how wonderful this place is. beatifully decorated, i stayed in the far east room, most comfortable bed on earth, so quiet and lush, and the homemade gourmet breakfasts are out of this world. We stayed here for a few nights at the end of our holiday in Canada. When we arrived we discovered our room had been accidentally switched with another booking - easy enough when they are called "Far East I" and "Far East II", but was easily rectified by us gladly accepting the other room. How the guest already settled into... more

We had a great time on our holiday but are sorry that we missed meeting you! It's good to know that our inn sitter, Andrew was such a good host. Did you know that we sell bus tickets at cost so that guests won't have to worry about exact change on the bus? We're glad that you appreciated the vouchers...
