We stayed in this hotel for a few nights in October The room we had was a decent size and had an ensuite with bath. The room was not a bad size - had a cupboard and tv. Great location - only a short walk down Robson Street past shops and resturants. Didnt go for breakfast any morning but the... more

I was in Vancouver in early January 2008. I walked passed this hotel and went in to enquire about a room. First of all let me say that this hotel is cheap (about CDN 40 a night for a single room with own bathroom) - in fact a local (who is a travel agent) advised me that this is probably... more

We stayed at the Barclay Hotel on arrival in Canada for a two week fly drive vacation. There were four adults and we had booked a suite. This was found to be large, spacious and clean and contained a double sofa bed and two queen beds. The bed linen was all spotless and the beds new. There was a bathroom... more

Pros: * Great location in downtown Vancouver with loads of restaurants and shops close by * Very good value for money (we paid 95 CAD per night excluding taxes, SMTW) * Water pressure for the shower was excellent for our ground floor room Cons: * Fixed shower head (ladies bewarned) * Could be noisy for some * Rooms could be... more

I chose this hotel because it was simply the only one at a reasonable price in that area of downtown Vancouver. I didn't expect much. Yeah, there is no lift, but that's fine, you shouldn't be taking loads of stuff unless you're staying for weeks on end, anyway. Also, the only downside really was that everything in the rooms is... more

Basic pension style hotel right on Robson Street, feels like you could be in London the minute you walk in the door, has a '50 quid a nite Earls Court hotel' feel about it. But room is clean, has it's own bathroom, and price and location far outway the relative tiredness of the building and hallways. more

This hotel is very run down with no lift for your luggage. When we opened the door to our room I wanted to leave immediately as the mirror on the wall was smashed and it had a dirty feeling about it. The sheets had black hairs on them and also the pillow cases. The carpet was dirty and we even... more

I and my friend picked this hotel up from Japanese travel guide book called "Chikyuu-no- Arukikata (How to walk on Globe)". Although the room we stayed was not so large, it has a space large enough to stay and sleep. In addition that, it was so cheap that we could save lots of money with booking this hotel. And location... more

This is an absolutely Stayable, Sleepable hotel. We had no problems. The Hotel Location is great. Right on the Robson Street at the heart of downtown Vancouver. You can walk for a mile on Robson Street and it's full of shopping stores and restaurants. Downtown Vancouver is very Safe and Busy place. Major Night Clubs, Bars, SkyTrain, Seabus are all... more
