This is an old fashioned hotel, quite expensive, located in an ugly neighbourhood, where you'll have the opportunity to have one of the worst breakfast experiences. Don't expect complementay drinks in your room either. I'll try another one in my next trip to Vancouver.

My first time at this hotel, and it is now my favorite hotel when I visit Vancouver. Just a short walk from the Yaletown Skytrain stop which is so convenient. Just off all the action on Davie Street, and a nice walk down to English Bay and Stanley Park. Also just a short walk to the Hornby Street Aquabus for... More

The hotel staff at the check in desk seem to set the tone for the kind of stay you will have. Mike at the front desk was exceptional. He made my Hubby and me feel as though we were The Kennedy's checking in...or at least Brad n' Angelina. Lol! He recognized us as Platinum status guests and thanked us for... More

This was our first visit to Vancouver and we were very happy with our choice of hotel. It was very clean, rooms were quiet, comfortable, with a full kitchen and a great shower. The location of the hotel was also within walking distance of major attractions or to many types of transit available, including the hop on hop off trolley... More

This hotel deserves high rating, even from this frequent traveler. Great location. My room, a studio, was quite roomy. Very comfortable bed - I had better sleep here than even many RI's I've stayed at. Big, 46in HD tv. Well served breakfast bar. Cheerful, helpful, polite front desk. Housekeeping was thorough.

Was greeted by friendly staff and checked into a clean and nicely appointed room. Hotel is conveniently located within blocks of public transportation (15 minute bus ride to Canada Place) and many restaurants. Area does have its share of homeless people, especially if you walk towards Granville street, but we did not experience aggressive panhandling and felt quite safe even... More

We had a very good experience at the Residence Inn. It was our first time in Vancouver and we stayed here for 6 nights. I wish we'd been given a room on a higher floor as I requested but I know they were busy. The hotel rooms are very quiet which was a nice surprise. Hotel staff were very helpful... More

Dear Patricia H - Thanks so much for the great review. Your comment about the pool was very interesting. We do not heat the pool area in the summer, but two factors do contribute to the climate: the pool water is heated to a comfortable level for everyday swimming and the atrium design allows for direct sunlight from above and... We enjoyed the Mariott Residence Inn because they understand the needs of a busy traveler. For a reasonable price you get a firm bed, fully stocked kitchen, comfortable sofa, large bathroom and all the amenities one would expect from a nice hotel. We stayed in a view room for four nights that was quiet even with a full hotel. I... More

Hotel is not the Best Hotel the service we received was perfect, we had to adjoining Suites , and the the whole fmily could enjoyed it, because the doors from one suite to the other were opened for us. For the price it is a very good Hotel. Please ask for rooms in the upper floors.

Out of all five of the hotels I've stayed at in Vancouver during my stay the Marriott residence inn was the absolute worst experience. First they said the room was 385 then after all he fees and tax it was 500. I got barely any sleep due to the early sunrise construction and jackhammer noise outside my room. Obviously the... More

Dear Kelli N - Thank you for your feedback. I'm very sorry to hear you were so disappointed in your stay. I understand that unexpected costs such as governmental taxes can be frustrating - these are communicated to our guests in advance through reservation confirmations and emails. Unfortunately we have no control over the construction site behind the hotel but... More
