The YWCA is an affordable place to stay in downtown Vancouver. I would say it is somewhere between a hostel and a hotel. You have a shared kitchen and shared bathrooms but individual rooms. It stays clean and is quite. Within walking distance to most everything in Vancouver.

Great budget hostel option. Small rooms, but what do you expect? The staff are lovely, always looking to help you in whatever way is required. The bathroom situation is not great, but this is a hostel after all. There are either hall bathrooms with 1 shower in. I never had to wait when I needed to use one of these.... More

I was quite pleased with my stay at the YWCA. I needed a place to stay in Vancouver for one night close to the city train stations as I had a flight early the next morning. The location couldn't have been better! Close to all the shops, eateries and train stations in the city centre but not on a super... More

The room was clean and well apportioned. Bed linens were white & very clean. Bathroom was clean. The front desk clerks were friendly and helpful. I wish they served breakfast, at least, a continental. But, fast food places abound nearby, so, not a problem; though, it'd been nice to have had coffee/tea in the room. Quiet & peaceful neighborhood. About... More

The room has all the basics that you need without having any unnecessary luxuries although that does unfortunately include Wi-Fi which you have to pay for, only like $3 so nothing worth getting upset over. One thing that I did find slightly uncomfortable was having a shared bathroom although as long as you make sure to lock the door you... More

This was my first stay at a YWCA establishment, and what a pleasant surprise it was. The hotel is located close to restaurants and supermarkets, and not far from the river where you catch the aquabus to Granville Market. Our ensuite rooms were spotlessly clean, with good beds and pillows. The bathroom was small but very presentable. We happened to... More

We had a room with private bath. The room was clean & decorated well. The room was on the small size, but comfortable. Bathroom had shower & toilet. Sink was within the room and there was a hair dryer. Good amount of cable channels on tv. Good convenient location - there was a SevenEleven and McDonalds within walking distance. Public... More

The hotel is very comfortable to stay. The location of it is in a charming place. It is just beside of the BC place and the BC place stadium is viewable from the room window. Its a convenient hotel which is near to the main attractions of the downtown Vancouver. Lastly, the hotel staffs are friendly and room service is... More

Stayed here with a group from university for about 4 nights. Couldn't comment on the pricing as it was all included in my trip. Internet is not included, Wi-Fi is about $3 a day if I can remember.. possibly more to use one of their internet terminals. Beds were fairly comfortable, made daily. We had our own bathroom with shower,... More

Stayed here for only one night. I didn't reserve the rooms with semi-private bathroom, and got this nice double room with two beds. Overall a decent room worthy of the price. No free wifi in the room. Located near Yaletown, BC place, skytrain station and gastown.
