We've just returned from our honeymoon cruise of Alaska's frontier which finished with two days in Vancouver Canada. We usually stay at B & B's and have met some wonderful hosts during our travels. However, I wanted to surprise my new husband with more modern accomodations and searched to stay as close to the attractions as possible. The motel was... more

So deciding to stay at the Moda was a very Hasty decision. I planned my trip very quickly and basically googled ' boutique hotels+ vancouver'. The Moda immediately stood out for me. The interior design was fantastic, and the history of the hotel sounded very unique. How did it live up to my expectations? The Place - The Hotel itself... more

Just spent 2 nights at the Moda. Saturday night was sleepless, the drunks on the street may as well have been in our room. Should have paid more attention to the reviews. Would possibly stay there again if I had an interior or rear facing room. Rooms nicely decorated and very clean, although it would seem that there is no... more

We stayed at the Moda for two nights in May. Its central location is great for tourists like ourselves, and the staff were extremely helpful with suggestions of restaurants, etc. From their end they did everything possible to make sure we had a good stay. The appearance of the place is great, it looks like a fairly newly renovated apartment... more

This hotel is perfect--great location (to Robson shopping/museums, Yaletown restaurants, etc.), great staff (helpful with tips on how to navigate buses, etc.), & stylish room (with wall photography of local sites that actually were beautiful, great decor--also clean with great size). I had read on-line that some found it noisy; so, I emailed a request for a quiet room. We... more

First of all this hotel succeeds at what it's trying to be, which is an affordable boutique hotel with just enough sense of style to appeal to young independent travelers. It's more fashionable than a Holiday Inn yet less expensive than a big chain property, and for that alone it deserves 4 stars. I did have two complaints about the... more

We picked all hotels from TripAdvisor reviews and our budget. The Moda was great - it was cool, the rooms were clean and it was well priced. I'd recommend it and stay here again. We liked the local market on the corner where we could get drinks, breakfast food, lunch to take for a picnic and snacks. It's a realy... more

Stayed at this hotel with girlfriends for a weekend away. Loved the modern room, clean, comfortable beds, and friendly staff. I was a little in awe of the great price considering the downtown location. Well worth the deal! I have stayed at many downtown hotels, this one stands ahead of the rest. We had an alley view, not much to... more

This is an older hotel that has recently been remodeled with modern decor. The interior design of the hotel is very unique and appealing. The location of the hotel is perfect. We were able to walk all over downtown and take the skytrain to other parts of the city. We practically didn't need our car during our stay. The area... more

My girlfriend and I just returned from Vancouver where she ran the half-marathon ((2:05), Melanie got ninth in her age group and broke two hours, Peggy almost broke two hours) and we stayed with a group of friends at the Hotel Moda. It was pretty nice, very utilitarian rooms, white walls (not good) with one red accent wall that needed... more
