Arrived somewhat later than expected but had no problems checking in. I had a room on the top floor ( #436 ). The room was of decent size and had a ensuite bathroom. I immediately noticed the temperature being quite warm in the room so changed it on the airco and went out to get some dinner hoping that when... More

While on a 3 week USA/Canada trip, we spent one night in downtown Vancouver. The Moda hotel provided a great location for exploring downtown's attractions and shops. The building is old but has a modern entrance, it is quirky in its merging of old & new. We found the staff very friendly and helpful. The room was clean and adequately... More

The Location was great and the rooms were comfortable and clean (albeit a little small). You can tell that they do their best to make this boutique hotel unique and interesting! The service was great and the restaurants/bars attached to the hotel were awesome. Being directly downtown its easy to explore the city! All that being said the first time... More

This is an old hotel re furbished, so is quite charming but is not a new building,(it is a really interesting old building) so don't expect it to be a modern experience. Having said that it is very well re furbed, so no complaints, it is just a little quirky. We had a pleasant corner room on the fourth floor... More

Moda has a great location, friendly staff and is a good deal. Close to Robson shopping, Yaletown and Gastown. You can park your car at the hotel and walk the city. Be careful as the parking garage has had break ins, so take all valuables with you. The bar in the hotel is fun as well for a nightcap.

Great location in the heart of down town Vancouver .For the price in relation to other hotels in Vancouver is very good .The rooms are on the small side with very little storage space.but the bathroom is a good size .We had a problem with our air con and we were up graded to the suite. These are much larger rooms... The Moda is in a good location, but the hotel is small, the rooms are converted from what I would assume is an old apartment building, and the wiring, plumbing, etc., is exposed and painted. There are few electrical outlets due to the age of the building (which, when you are sightseeing/visiting, and have two phones, a camera, etc., becomes... More

We had read the previous reviews on trip advisor and opted to upgrade to a back room on the top floor. Nice enough room with all we needed. Basic bath etc but kept clean. Great thing was really the location. It was easy to walk to all of the major areas and good places to eat both below the hotel... More

We spent five nights here in July 2014. Our room was small but adequate. The staff was wonderful, always friendly, providing good advice to our tourism questions. We used our room only for sleeping at night, as we were out sightseeing most of the day. A business traveller might find this hotel cramped. There is a strong wifi service. If... More

Hotel is rather old and is reflected in the elevator. Staff is rather uneducated as to the neighborhood that they are in. They have no clue as to where anything in the area is. Attempted ti ask for an ice cream parlor and was sent 2 miles away. Imagine my surprise when I found 1 one block from the hotel.... More
