First thing was the room was not ready,it was suppose to be ready at 3:00 but not ready till after 3:30. Had to wait in the TINY lobby. Then the air conditioner was off for the season,no central air.Windows were wide open letting in the street noise, closing them did not help with the noise(they supplied ear plugs but they would not... more
Very stylish boutique hotel for travelers on somewhat of a budget. 5 star style...not 5 star price :) Rooms are painted red with black and white photography, bathrooms are an ultra chic gray with the BEST smelling lotions, body wash, soap, shampoo, etc from a unique store around the corner! I read reviews about travelers' stays being noisy...I didn't experience... more
This is a fun hotel near all the tourist areas. We loved the hip decor and the bright colors inside made up for a couple of grey days outside. The service was good with a couple of hiccups, but nothing that would prevent us from going back. The rooms are very comfortable and the free wifi was very helpful in... more
Orginally booked a queen room. Didn't realize I was upgraded to a king. Nice surprise. Woman who checked me in was professional and patiently answered all of my questions. Room was a decent size, clean. I got a relatively quiet room as requested, but I still heard the other guests' conversations, burping. Luckily they stayed only 1 night . Hotel's... more

We received welcome cookies on our bed, a hand written note, and bottled water every day. The toiletries in the bathroom were very fancy and these little touches made us feel quite pampered & relaxed. Quiet location, at the heart... more
My husband and I traveled with our 11 month old to Vancouver and stayed at the Moda Hotel. It is true that there was construction and got a bit noisy during the day, but aside from that temporary situation the hotel is well situated in the city, has very accomodating staff, and its minimalist style doesn't mean it skimps on... more
Great location and friendly staff, rooms are clean , much better than the Sheraton Wall for a better price, if you like boutique hotels. more
The Moda is one of the few design hotels in Vancouver - and it does a fine job of living up to expectations in that regard. It is also the most reasonable of all the boutique hotels in VanCity. There were quite a few flaws with the hotel, but the staff was very apologetic, compensated us adequately and treated us... more
