I stayed here for a couple of nights while visiting Vancouver for work. The location of the Point Grey is great and the house itself is beautiful. Breakfast was good and she was very accommodating in terms of having it at different times the two mornings because of my schedule. I stayed in the Albion Room, which was extremely spacious.... Our son moved into an apartment on Broadway and this was the nearest accommodation available. The B&B is in a circa 1930's large home on West 10th. The room we had faced onto the street which was one detraction - the ambient street noisy from a busy thoroughfare. The other detraction is that I would have preferred a King sized... More

Hello and thank you very much for your candid but positive review of your stay at our guest house. We wish we could mute the traffic sounds from 10 Avenue, but next time please request ahead so that we can ensure you have a quiet location in the house (with a king bed possibly). As you know this is a... More

Do yourself a favor and get out of downtown...rent the basement suite of Hugh and Georgia's Guest house and do your own thing...or rent a room and get a lovely breakfast too. The home is nicely furnished and cosy and comfortable, a large living room area to relax in or if you happen to be there in the summer, a... More

Four years ago, my wife and I made our first visit to Vancouver. Through pure luck, we happened to stay at Point Grey Guest House. It is a beautiful home in a very nice neighborhood, but the key is the hosts. Georgia and Hugh (and don't forget Shelby) are among the nicest people God ever put on this earth. Their... More

Georgia and Hugh have themselves a little gem in the West Point Grey neighborhood of the city. This area is a little like the Knob Hill of San Francisco, a rejuvenated suburban island within the city limits, where the houses are beautifully rehabbed and the real estate is getting astronomically expensive. Both partners are very helpful and honest, to-the-point about... More

Beautifully decorated, very quiet, comfy beds and gorgeous bedding, extra special attention given to small details, a nice little table to sit at over looking the lovely garden, amazing breakfast. Georgia and Hugh accommodated our dietary needs and were very friendly and helpful. The B & B is within a 20 minute walk of lovely Jericho Beach and many shops... More

I had never stayed at a bed and breakfast before, but needed to be close to UBC, so based on the Trip Advisor reviews, I decided to give this one a shot. I was not disappointed. The hosts, Georgia and Hugh (and Shelby!) couldn't have been friendlier, but were definitely not intrusive. I felt very welcome and at home. The... More

Hugh and Georgia are very pleasant and helpful, the breakfast is full and tasty, the house and bedrooms are very tastefully decorated, the prices are very reasonable, and Point Grey is a great location - with restaurants within walking distance, and buses towards both UBC and downtown right in front of the guest house. In addition, I had some very... More

We stayed here in late July 2011 for 3 nights whilst exploring Vancouver before heading up to the Yukon. Hugh & Georgia couldn't have been more kind, and the rooms we used were both very comfortable, clean and well furnished. Breakfast was typical Canadian style, lots of fruit and fresh produce and wonderful coffee. The Guest House itself is on... More

This is a home from home: kind hosts, helpful and knowledgeable. We hardly used the car to explore the city, hopping on and off buses to see Canada Place, Stanley Park, Granville Island and Van Dusen Gardens and eating in excellent local restaurants. Inside the house the rooms were quiet, very well kept and light. We had a good breakfast... More
