Great location. Good service. more

We just returned from a family holiday in Vancouver with a 5 year old and twin babies. The major plus for this hotel is the location. There are no other hotels in this English Bay/Stanley park area that are in walking distance. There is the Sylvia, but we stayed there a few years ago, and the interior was brutal... The... more

I enjoyed my stay at Coast Plaza, and would definitely stay there again. Yes, the hotel interior and rooms are a bit dated. And it wasn't "luxurious" by any means. The bed and linens were not of the highest quality. The shower worked well but the bathtub and tiles looked a little bit grimey. But I had a good time... more

We stayed at this hotel courtesy of Hotwire at the discounted rate of $120 / night x 3 nights. Hotwire had rated this hotel at 3.5 stars. Upon check-in, we found the hotel to be quite busy. Apparently they get a large portion of their business from the nearby cruiselines. Check-in took approximately 10 minutes with a minimum of fuss.... more

We started vacationing in Canada in the 80's. Since that time we have gone to Canada at least once a year. In the beginning, we would stay a week at the Oak Bay Beach Hotel in Victoria and a week at the Westin Bayshore in Vancouver. In the early 90's we started looking around for an accommodation on the West... more

We booked a standard room at the Coast Plaza via Clipper Vacations and were eligible for a free upgrade to a one bedroom suite. The hotel does look like a throw back from the '70s, but, hey, all of the West End of Vancouver looks like that -- very retro area. The hotel is an older property but it is... more

This was an average hotel... nice, quiet location but would have preferred a bit more bustling atmosphere, this was my fault in selecting the location however. Very nice staff, they were always helpful. Outdated decor, but clean. I wasn't in Vancouver to fuss about purpley pink bathtubs, however if this is your purpose in visiting the Lower Mainland...choose another hotel.... more

Never having been to Vancouver before, I was nervous going to this hotel because of some of the reviews I had seen on this web site. This hotel is in arguably the best location in Vancouver. It's basically right on the beach, is walking distance to Stanley Park and the Aquarium, and, my personal favorite, the ferry to get to... more

We spent 3 nights at the Coast Plaza last weekend as a family reunion of sorts, celebrating birthdays, and other special occasions. There were 7 families represented. Everyone was pleased with their rooms, and the friendly, helpful service that we recieved during our stay. With that many people we had some special needs! Its an older place, but has been... more

I stayed here with my family in March '08. The location at Comox & Denman is hard to beat. It is walking distance to Stanley Park, and there are tons of cafes and restaurants along Denman. And it's right on top of a mall, which has a grocery store, so it's easy to pick up snacks & drinks or even... more
