The conference I attended had blocked some rooms at the venue, but was booked up so I decided to stay here. I am glad I did, it was probably a bit quieter than the others up the street but comparable in quality. It's in a great area, close to shopping on Robson and other key attractions, the service was excellent,... More

Our stay at The Sutton Place Hotel in Vancouver was our second in the past 4 years & on each occasion the staff & accommodation was outstanding. The staff was very helpful & polite while the room was large & clean with beautiful comfy beds. I would have no hesitation in recommending my friends to stay at the hotel.

Very pleasant hotel with all the expected amenities and in, possibly, the absolute best location in downtown Vancouver. Close to Robson Street, museums, galleries, restaurants. Closer to the nightlife than some of the other hotels to the north or closer to the cruise ship terminal. The room was relatively standard business-class hotel -- nothing special but also more than adequate... More

I was in the city for a weekend's indulgence, and was looking for a luxurious, worry-free time. This hotel doesn't deserve its star rating. The room is decidedly average, nothing special, and even runs small. Hotels at this price point ought to provide the little things that busy travelers might forget, like toothbrushes and toothpaste. Nope, not there. Second, the... More

Second time staying there, and we absolutely love the place. It close to everything downtown, and it has so many different atmospheres, from modern to old world charm. We also had the best steak dinner we have ever had at a restaurant, right in the hotel. We also love to Star Watch, and on our first visit, we met Dallas... More

Let's be honest, you're not planning to be stuck in a hotel room the entire trip watching CNN, Jerry Springer or Fox News so there's little point in my whining about the old and dour decor of the room. The Sutton Place is a grandiose looking hotel on the outside with grinning valets, polite staff, a beautifully decorated foyer, a... More

We came here for a much needed couples getaway. There were 3 couples in our group and we all LOVED the Sutton Place Hotel. We stayed 2 nights and wish it could have been more. We got there late on Friday night but received a warm welcoming at check in. It was a smooth and easy process. We all had... More

We stayed 4 nights and five days and the staff was very friendly and accommodating. The hotel is smack dab in the middle of the city, very close to the shops and restaurants of Robson Street. You can walk pretty much anywhere in the downtown and all the way to Stanley Park, provided the weather is decent. When we were... More

The Sutton Place is almost a Vancouver institution, with many film crews and cast staying here while shooting in the area. Although the rooms could use a little more modern flair, they are comfortable and provide the necessities (a desk, comfortable bed, chair, mini-bar), and there is an operable window for fresh air. The Wi-Fi was pretty slow and I... More
