I've stayed at most of the large chain hotels. This was my 1st time here. It was great from the beginning. I asked if they had any upgrades available at check in. They bumped me up to a great 1 bdrm. It was wonderful. Reminds me of the great hotels in Europe only with a lot of space, very modern.

Was in Vancouver for conference at this hotel. Impeccable service. Friendly staff. Incredibly clean. Luxury. Super comfy beds. The bathroom was decadent. Highly recommend corner room on 12th floor. Great location close to Robson St. Had a dinner and breakfast at Marketplace. Food was exceptional. If you are looking for a spluge in vancouver, I'd do it here :)

The hotel did not disappoint; quality and luxury abounds from top to bottom. Staff are attentive and friendly in a unsnobby way. We`ve stayed in enough top end hotels to know that this is very difficult to pull off. Food and drinks were was top quality. Every detail in the well appointed suite was thought out.

i was in Vancouver for a wedding (that was cancelled) and took one night to have a romantic evening with my wife. The marble bathroom is amazing and the bed was incredibly comfortable. I loved it. If you have the money, I recommend this hotel. I will be back.

The Shangri-La is such a beautiful, eco conscious hotel. My husband and I stayed for our 15th anniversary, and were blown away by the staff, property and amenities. The day we arrived was a typical rainy Vancouver day, and we were soaked after our stroll of the city. We had reservations at Hawksworth that evening so we stopped to enquire... More

No need to go to Empress Hotel in Victoria, Shangri-La's Xi Shi Lounge has the best High Tea in downtown Vancouver. Great selections of tea, elegance chinaware and beautiful Piano Music (weekend). For $34 per person, they offer a 3-tier tray filled with a good mix of sweets, cakes and sandwiches. It is simply the best!!!
