Lovely hotel in central Vancouver location. The reception staff and bellman were exceptionally attentive from the moment we arrived outside the front door. Everyone on the team makes you feel very welcome. Our boutique room and bathroom were first class, comfortable and immaculate. Our room was large, quiet, across from the library and business center and near the elevator. We... More

This is an outstanding boutique hotel. Recently my family had the pleasure to stay for three nights at L’Hermitage in Vancouver and I cannot say enough about this hotel. From the moment you arrive you are warmly welcomed by the front desk team. The concierge, Raymond, was that were spot on with his restaurant and places to visit recommendations for... More

We stayed hear for four nights while visiting Vancouver. our room was spacious with two double size beds and a very large bathroom with separate bath and shower. there is free wifi and a good selection of TV channels. there is an empty fridge in the room rather than a mini bar and there is a supermarket underneath the hotel... I just recently stayed at L'Hermitage for three days prior to a Alaska cruise. Loved Loved Loved this boutique hotel! We had two rooms here: one was a boutique room and the other was a one bedroom Signature suite with full kitchen. The suite had Bosch appliances in the kitchen and included all th cooking utensils, stove, oven and microwave.... More

We stayed at L'Hermitage on two separate occasions in August and had a great experience. The hotel is in a good location in Vancouver that puts you in walking distance from Yaletown restaurants, Gastown, and even Stanley Park (it's a long walk, but we did it). The rooms are large and very comfortable, and both of our rooms had large... More

Chose this hotel as it is No1 on trip advisor. I can only review as I find, and am usually very impressed by trip advisor picks, but sadly not this time. The hotel is in an excellent location, ideally placed for walking easily to all attractions. The room was well appointed with all expected facilities. I have 2 issues; we... More

Superb boutique hotel in very good position for walking to major sights and also great areas for eating. We chose a boutique room which was beautifully appointed. Excellent courteous and very helpful service from all staff which seemed to go over and above that received in many hotels we have stayed in. We felt the staff really cared and certainly... More

Stayed at this awesome boutique hotel on July 19 & 20 with my husband before departing on our cruise. Concierge and Front Desk Staff were very helpful with everything from recommendations on dining, to providing us with the best options to get to Granville Island. Room was immaculately clean, and they even obliged with my request to have a pool... More

Booked a one-night stay-cation getaway at L'Hermitage to celebrate our 10th wedding anniversary. I'm a local and Downtown Vancouver certainly has a number of notable establishments to choose from but if you're considering one for couples/romance, this boutique hotel is the perfect retreat. Service is impeccable from the moment the valet attendant greets you...friendly, personal and unpretentious. This standard of... More

Staying in Downtown

Neighborhood Profile
Downtown
Vancouver's business district, the Downtown area is bustling with smartly-dressed folks balancing their lattes and briefcases to and from work. The area's plethora of contemporary commercial, residential, and corporate spaces has bred a landscape of nouveau restaurants, chain cafes, and upmarket shopping options. However, located right on the waterfront of Vancouver's energetic Harbour, Downtown is a also popular public meeting spot, with a massive public library and convention center attracting a bevy of visitors both local and not, as well as a hotspot for the arts, being home to some of Vancouver's most cutting-edge galleries. With behemoth architecture and a professional air, Downtown means business.
