We had the pleasure of three nights accomodation at Meares Retreat under the care of the inimitable Charlie, our host and owner of Meares. We had a wonderful time on Vancouver Island and one of the high points was our two-night stay at Meares. It's a simple, clean B&B with a gorgeous view and a thoughtful host who knows enough to let you enjoy it. Just a few blocks from "downtown", it really is a retreat from the roar of the crowd.
