Arriving in Tofino much later than expected, the lodging choices where somewhat limited. If this happens to you, don't even consider the Pacific Breeze Motel and sleep in your car instead! Yes, we were looking for a reasonably prices motel but one still expects a minimum of comfort. The bathroom offered a rusty tub decorated with mold growing happily in... more

We are from up island and thought, tofino for a night might be fun. You know those spur of the moment kind of trips?. Well this motel was and will be the worst place on earth for probably the next 40 years!!! No hot water, nothing was clean, and it reaked of --- I cant tell you what the smell... more

It seems everyone turns up here as a last resort, as my girlfriend and I did when we spontaneously decided to stay overnight in Tofino. They were the only place with a room vacant, and at $60 for us both, it was within budget. The whole place seemed entrenched in the 70s, , the decor didn't seem to have been... more

Don't do it to yourself, no matter how tight the budget. This would be a funny story, if our stay wasn't so real. we didn't expect much for the cheap rate, but this motel was straight out of an old 70's horror flick, coupled with scruffy hotel management knocking on the door 3 times in our first 1/2hour, a general... more

This place was so nasty, we should have slept in our car: Bedsheets, floors, sofa, bathroom, everything seemed and felt filthy; the bedsheets apparantly had not been washed in weeks. The manager was impolite and demanded "cash only" - we paid $129 + Tax . I wish we wouldn't have had enough money in cash, because then we would have... more

Like all the others, didn't book anything in advance. We came in late and this was the last option to stay for one night. It was horrible, same story as alle the others. We had to put a chair against the door, slept in beds wich were old, filthy and not been cleaned for quite a while. I have been... more

Our stay (1 night) at Pacific Breeze has permitted me to win every "Hotel Horror Story" competition my friends have ever had! We made the mistake of travelling to Tofino without arranging accommodations in advance. On check-in, we got the last available room, one very thin towel, and the TV remote control handed to us, with directions to the room.... more

We travelled to Tofino on October 7, 2006. There was no vacancy except for the Pacific Breeze Motel, which cost us 65 + tax , he charged us 74.10. He was trying to convinced us to pay in cash so we didn't have to pay the tax part. Luckily, we put it on our visa. After we went to the... more

We went on a Bike Trip in August to Vancouver Island. It's a beautiful place to visit! BUT words of advice. If you go to Tofino (and you must!) make sure you have reservations ahead of time. We didn't (I am a travel agent so I should have known better!) and we ended up in one of the only places... more
