We spent two nights at the Duffin Cove Resort during September 2009. We hadn't booked - we turned up in Tofino hoping to find somewhere nice. I'm not sure if the term 'resort' reflects the place. It has a selection of cabins and rooms which are all around a small sea cove. We had a ground floor cabin - with... more

I am Canadian and my husband is American. I had lived in Vancouver for year so I thought I knew what to expect. We came to Tofino to see the coast and Duffin Cove was recommended and booked for us by Tourism Vancouver on Burrard St in Vancouver (if you can believe that). This place was awful...filthy, dirty, and over-priced.... more

I had a suite with a beautiful view of the ocean, however that is where the niceties ended. The paper thin walls, partying and pot smokers made this the worse motel/hotel I have ever stayed at. The dented/stained furniture/old rugs and odours of perfume smells to cover up the dirt?? When someone walked on the walkways the whole building shook.... more

My fiance and I spent this past May long weekend at Duffin Cove and had a wonderful time. The location is awesome, a short walk to the Co-op and pretty much everything in town is super close by. The bed was comfy and the place was bigger than I expected after reading all the reviews on here. My complaints are... more

We stumbled upon this place as most places were full so we thought we would give it a try. My wife went inside and was warmly greeted on a rainy night to find we could have the last room available. The boardwalk leading to our room by the sea was right out of "Survivor", (the tribe has spoken) a lit... more

I had booked our stay here and then saw some horrible reviews on this site. We have always camped while in Tofino so we didnt really know any of the hotels but we did have an idea of the area this one was in. I was a little apprehensive to check in after reading such terrible reviews, but when we... more

We stayed in one of the ocean front cabins, what a view. The managment were kind and helpful. The cabins are about 50 feet down about 50 to 60 stairs. If you dont mind walking up and down them I would say stay there in the cabins. I did look at the rooms as well we preferred the cabins over... more

Don't be fooled by the word Resort in the name. This is a third rate motel with no amenities. The rooms are small and have not been updated in decades. We prepaid with a credit card and it was a holiday weekend so we were stuck. We did switch rooms after the towelbar fell off the wall. There is only... more
