I would not recommend this resort to anyone. We stayed in 1 of the 2 cabins available. It was absolutely filthy! The first thing we were accosted with upon entering was the terrible smell. The fireplace was full of old, burnt, wet & rotting wood that had been left like that for some time. The floor & carpet was not... more

We stayed in one of the log cabins down by the ocean for 2 nights. It is a trek down some 50 or so steps and is a bit treacherous for carrying your luggage up and down though! Our cabin had a kitchen, living area, log burning fire - you do have to chop your own wood though! We actually... more

We have just returned from Vancouver/Vancouver Island and one of our stays in Vancouver Island was for three nights at Duffin Cove Resort. You can hardly call this a "Resort". It is a dump. The reception is dirty and when you read a notice on the counter to state that if you decide to leave early there will be no... more

From the amazing views to russtic charm the resort is ideal for familys and wilderness buffs. the beds are like new and staff very friendly and helpful. The crab dinner and BBQ access was great as is the location to town and the small beach was nice to have. not for travellers that are used to valets and agendas ideal... more

Similar to earlier reviews, the decor is outdated but the views are nice. I would also exercise caution when you look at the advertised rates on their website, as they do not honour the rates posted. We were visiting in low season and they charged high season rates for additional occupants. I discussed this price discrepancy with the owner and... more

We stayed here for 3 nights whilst we were touring round British Columbia. We were given a studio apartment, room 106, which was a short walk down a pathway from the reception office. This resort has other, larger apartments with BBQ's and things, but we didn't get to see in any of those. There were steep steps up to our... more

Because of our tight schedule we just stayed in Tofino for one night. We got a cabin with a great view of the sound. If you like ocean view be sure that your luggage isnt to heavy because there are lots of steps to climb. The cabin itself was ok and offered a complete kitchen. Everything was clean but seemed... more

Agree with the other points. One other point to make is the fact that the owners own a whale watching company in town and we booked a trip on one of their trips in a semi rigid inflatable which unfortunately developed a leak. This boat was substituted with another very noisy and uncomortable boat skippered by an elederly man who... more

Our first impression on arrival was guarded. The check in chap was really nice and friendly but the state of his office (no reception ) was somewhat dishevelled. We had booked a room overlooking The Sound. To be frank the entire place looked as though it needed a complete refurbish. Our room was no exception. The mat by the front... more
