My wife and I had never been to Vancouver Island. We found out about Clayoquot Orca Lodge in a listing of approved accommodations. What a surprise. A place of incredible beauty, immaculate rooms, and a dining room to die for. And to top it all off: an owner (Olivia) who actually loves to be a host and just loved on... More

we travelled on motorbikes and the Clayoquot Orca Lodge seemed a good stepping stone for our stay on Vancoover Isalnd. The hotel and management have largely exeeded our expectations. bear and whale watching are just the best, the sea plane, spectacular flight. the food very good, the staff very frinedly More

Normally I am fairly understanding of people having an "off-day" especially in the customer service industry, however we were paying top dollar to stay in one of this hotels higher end rooms and to be greeted by this toothless old bitty who was condescending, sleazy and outright rude was a precursor into what the whole experience would be like. We... More

We stayed here for two nights but would have been happy to stay longer. The room was very big and very clean with plenty of toiletries. It had a fridge, microwave, tea and coffee. As soon as we arrived and walked around the lodge to our room it had a very homely feel. The staff were very friendly and were... More

Spacious Lodge, priced reasonably compared to many others and with a personal touch you just don't find at the "chain" Hotels. Olivia is one of the hardest working ppl I have ever met and is entirely helpful with a great sense of humour. She is very knowledgeable about the area and if you are fortunate enough to meet her and... More

It`s worth the trip to Tofino just to meet Olivia and Monique. The whole place has a ``Baghdad Cafe`` aura of authenticity and warmth. As others have said, the location is great because of the rainforest walk to the Inlet, walking distance to Chesterman Beach and it`s a short drive to Tofino. They make a real effort to give the... We really enjoyed our recent visit to Cayoquot Orca Lodge. The hospitality was very gracious and there were excellent meals with generous portion sizes. Lots of choice for vegetarians and meat eaters. In fact, my wife and I ate all our evening meals at the lodge. The rooms are spotless and well furnished. Monique went out of her way to... More

What a gem the Clayoquot Orca is! It is ideally situated in a peaceful location a few minutes drive away from the centre of Tofino. The standard of the accommodation was better than we had expected - the public areas were spacious and inviting and the room was modern and clean. The restaurant was excellent for breakfast and evening meals.... More

During a 3 week trip to Canada and 13 hotels this was the best and most memorable. Warm and friendly staff who made you feel welcome and went out of their way to make our stay perfect. The ambiance and food, the rooms, forested area and overall appeal were just brilliant, we did not want to leave. Everywhere is well... More
