I have been coming to Tofino all my life but it is coming to the point where I can almost no longer afford to stay there! This cabin is really cozy, smells of cedar and is located just across the road from the beach access to Chersterman Beach (the best beach in the area in my opinion). The price of... More

We've been travelling to Tofino for many years and have stayed at many places. This was our favourite place so far. The cabin smelled like cedar upon our entry. The decor is all from Africa and it gives the cabin a unique personality. We felt very comfortable and secluded because the cabin is surrounded by the forest. The only sounds... More

I too have to say the "Traumatizing" is a bit over the top. We stayed here a couple of years ago and still agree with the most other current reviews. The breakfasts are amazing. The location to the beach is fabulous. It was ok to bring our dog and we had a fantastic time cooking crab one night for dinner.... More

I think the "traumatizing" review (below) was definitely an anomaly because we had a great experience. LOCATION - The cabin is right next to a beach access to North Chesterman Beach. Literally a 3-4 minute walk. We went stargazing at midnight on the beach and saw the Milky Way - it was awesome to not have to worry about driving... More

... Those are the exact words from my partner! Ignore the essay from the "traumatizing" review. If you love being enveloped by nature and feeling spoiled at the same time, Baku's African B&B is the spot. Unsure of even how to explain, so we'll just tell you our trip so far. (I write this review right now in the cabin... More

This was a surprise get away for me as my partner booked this months ago without me knowing where we were going until we got in the ferry line a few days ago (I then had a very good idea...).This is a charming little cabin located in the back of the owner's land. You access it via a wooden boardwalk... More

My family and I stayed here for a few days in early August. The owner was honest and accommodating. The property one row off of the ocean at Chesterman Bay, so the location couldn't have been better. We walked along the beach every day and our son bravely went into the waves without a wetsuit (not very long mind you!).... More

African Beach B & B was an absolutely amazing find. A self-contained cabin tucked in the rainforest, it was surrounded by lush vegetation and hummingbirds. We were steps from Chesterman's Beach (really, less than one minute) and the access point was private - we felt this was 'our' beach. The cabin was spotlessly clean and freshly aired out, the kitchen... More

The African Beach Cabin was both charming and wonderful. Being literally across from the beach, the location was perfect. Our host Baku was a lovely man who provided us with everything we needed including daily breakfast that was absolutely fantastic and enough for six people. The minute we walked in, we both fell in love with the place. With super... More

My boyfriend and I stayed here for a relaxing weekend away....and loved it. The cabin is located down a boardwalk, tucked away behind the owners' house... it's surrounded by trees so it felt private... and we saw a few stellar jays right outside our door. I enjoyed meditating on a little ground level deck. The breakfast, prepared at the hour... More
