A most lovely site - peaceful, and beautiful and it was nice to wake up and hear the water sloshing just outside our tent. We rode from the Long Harbour ferry terminal. Really enjoyed the fact that it was a "walk-in".

Spend a long weekend with two kids (four months, three years) and some friends at the campground. Every site has its designated bench/table combo to prepare meals, etc. Very convenient and almost standard in a Provincial Park. Each campsite was clean and overall well maintained. There are several "community fire rings" to light your campfire and enjoy smores. Perfect to... More

My girlfriend and I wanted to camp on Saltspring. After hearing stories of when my Dad and Uncle were kids camping on Ruckle farm and how nostalgic it was to them we quickly decided to check it out. After looking into it we found that it is now a park and a campground so we invited a couple of friends... More

We were there with our friends and the toilets were out of hand sanitizer all the time.. A person who were in charge of the camp at night was very rude person and disturbing groups from 9 pm with very bad language like shouting "I will turn off the fire if you become load once more" and he was really... A lovely park with good parking, nice picnic areas and easy hiking trails along the ocean. From the parking lot, take the wide paved path, go up the slate stairs to a viewpoint on a rocky outcrop of meadow and wildflowers. This is the perfect place for a picnic. The view is of Satellite Channel and the Saanich peninsula. Breathtaking!... More

Ruckles Park is a provinicial gem. A large portion of the farm was donated to the province for all to enjoy whilst the farm is still in operation. Great to see food and animals being raised. Turkeys everywhere! Third visit to the walk in camping spots. Each time is awesome and memorable. This time we didn't get site 78 (best... More

We didn't camp in Ruckle Provincial Park opting instead to stay at a nearby rental property but once discovered, we made numerous visits back during our two week stay on Salt Spring Island. This gem of a park has picnic benches with lovely serene views and is dog friendly albeit on a leash. There were some interesting hikes along trails... More

They had to talk me into walking in to camp, but it was better and more fun than some lodging! Also loved the group campfires and comraderie!
