Went on a weekend trip with my older sister and her husband and my younger sister, so we had two rooms. I believe we got this trip on group on a while ago. My older dieter and her husband got the larger room (which was downstairs) my younger sister and I had a smaller room upstairs. The upstairs room had... More

We recently stayed at the Harbour House prior to a medical appointment at the Lady Minto Hospital. The rooms are modest, and quiet, and ours faced east, so it didn't get the hot late afternoon sun. Also had a large balcony if we wanted to sit outside. The restaurant was excellent, I had gnocchi in wild mushroom sauce, perfect size... More

I stayed in two of the 2nd floor budget rooms overlooking a flat roof of their building. The beds were comfortable, and room was clean. While the outdated decor (think very old tv) didn't bother me, one room had a dirty screen on the one small window, and the second room had no screen. The small fan provided did not... More

We visited Salt Spring Island for a wedding this past weekend. Being from Toronto, I'm always blwon-away by the beauty of west coast. Salt Spring Island is no excpetion to this. We spent the weekend exploring the island, walking around the Saturday market and eating as much as we possibly could. It was a great weekend getaway. As for the... More

We arrived in sweltering heat to no one on the front desk just a note saying "be back in five minutes": We were hot and tired after ridingb a motor bike and decided to stroll around the neighbourhood. The waters edge is across the street and the organic farm which was carefully described by the receptionist sounded like good places... More

Harbour House is a most excellent place to stay, let me count the ways! Location close to Ganges, hotel room with balcony overlooking the ocean, huge organic garden wonderful setting to walk through, and the food is one of the best! Saturday night after a long hike enjoyed cowichan organic chicken and creme bruelle which was divine!

the hotel was ok and the breakfast was fine. we were staying in another building up from the hotel, which made it feel like we weren't in the hotel. we had a baby and there was no room service which was annoying. location was good though and room was fine and clean.

I liked the hotel, but my dinner was not too good. The chowder was full of flour paste globs. When I brought it to the attention of the wait staff, he just said that was not their usual soup. I left most of it. They didn't attempt to replace or compensate.

My bridesmaids and I all really enjoyed getting ready together in the Crofton Room before my wedding last June. It was perfect to have a beautiful and private room with washrooms across the hall and a table set up for us to order in food from the Harbour House Restaurant. It was even wheelchair accessible! The food was amazing and... More

My hard-working daughter treated me to a night at the Harbour House. We were so disappointed. Yes, the location is handy with a nice view of the harbour if you pay extra for these rooms but having traveled a great deal and considering everything, this hotel is overpriced. The harbour view rooms are on the second floor and there is... More
