Really friendly staff, clean room with breathtaking view. The restaurant was cozy, the food was incredible, the bartender was great. What more could you want? more

The people were very nice and accommodating and the prices very reasonable! Very nice environment. The restaurant was lovely with a fantastic view and a cozy gas fireplace, and the location was fantastic. Rooms really vary - the whole range from much older and clean but not great to hang out in, to renovated, great views and much more comfortable.... more

The Harbour House Hotel is a wonderful choice to stay if you are planning a trip to Salt Spring Island. I have stayed at the hotel a few times and each time it has been great, the service is friendly, the staff makes you feel right at home. I always prefer the rooms with the hot big tubs....they give you... more

I recently spent a weekend here and had such a wonderful stay! It was my plan to propose to my girlfriend while staying at the hotel. Two weeks before our stay, I was in contact with the manager of the hotel in order to make arrangements to have some flowers and wine waiting for us in the room. She was... more

I booked this far in advance, having had it recommended to me by a local due to its location. This isnt a very nice hotel. The rooms are furnished like an old cabin at the lake, with terribly old comforters that didnt look pretty or even clean. Service in the restaurant just awful, with waitresses chatting to friends and ignoring... more

Location is great! Service was less than expected. Upon check in we were told that we are just a few days from off season rates. Upon selecting a room for a 2 night stay the clerk informed us that the particular area where these rooms are located can be noisy and overly hot. The hotel was nearly empty. The in... more

The Hotel itself was clean, and our room was basic. What absolutely ruined our stay was: 1) the guests in the room across the hall were very noisy until after midnight; and 2) our vehicle was sideswiped in the hotel parking lot overnight by a hit and run driver, resulting in $2,700 in damage. We tried to call the front... more

We've vacationed on Saltspring Island at least ten times in the last 20 years. Most of the time we rented a house for a week. Unfortunately, since we stayed "only" 3 nights, we couldn't rent a house. We chose this hotel, based on the popularity (#2) from TripAdvisor. We were VERY disappointed. Although we got an "ocean view" room --... more

My husband and I stayed at the Harbour House for 2 nights as part of our 10 day Vancouver Island vacation. When we checked in and took a look around, we considered checking out and heading to our next destination early, but decided to tough it out. The hotel is quite old. The lobby appears to have last been "decorated"... more

We arrived in the wee hours of the morning, rang the night bell, and were greeted with warmth and hospitality. Although it wasn't a long stay, it was restful, comfortable and clean. The wooden vaulted ceilings gave the room a feeling of warmth and spaciousness. Breakfast was fabulous the next morning, and we enjoyed the sunny harbour view from the... more
