I was put up here by my work because it has a kitchenette. Overall I might be taking out my dislike of Prince Rupert in the winter on the hotel because I have no real complaints other than it was just a bit drab like the city so it felt depressing. Not modern. I think it is ok for the... More

We drove into Prince Rupert late from a 4 day drive with our tired children, and our dog. The Totem Lodge is Pet Friendly. Our kitchenette was very large and clean, and the beds were more than comfortable. Breakfast and Coffee or special teas in the lobby were very welcoming and nice to sit and chat. The family running the... More

First, problems with reservation. I reserved online through booking.com a couple weeks before the trip because I just wanted to know we had a bed between ferries. A couple days before we left, I realized I hadn't gotten a confirmation. So I called. It wasn't in the system, but they added it. When we arrived, there was confusion and muttering... More

Rather old but cheap and clean with a warm welcome by friendly and helpful staff. Very easy to find when coming off the BC Ferry in the dark, it is the first motel on the right hand side of the road as you drive into Prince Rupert, The breakfast is very welcome with good coffee. Prince Rupert is an interesting... More

Off the ferry at 10.45pm, not knowing the area, so was glad for a short straight forward drive to motel. Our room smelt of stale cooking and carpet needs changing - well dirty/ marked. Decor needs updating. Had a good comfortable sleep. Wi-Fi connection is simple and fast. Good laundry facilities.

The hotel is older, and is obviously undergoing upgrades and reno's to the decor, at this time but the cleanliness of the common areas and room is superb. It is a family run enterprise, which gives it a home away from home feel. The room I am in is very spacious, with a full kitchen, apartment sized stove, oven, fridge,... More

Hotel is clean, affordable and accommodating. Our room was large and we had a very quiet night. We were not charged extra for our pet!! Imagine our delight! Would recommend this place if staying Prince Rupert

Dirty office area. The hall carpet was a carpet of many colors since chunks of carpet had been replaced with old mismatched carpet. Our room carpet had huge ripples because it was in need of stretching....heck don't stretch it just replace it! The place had the spooky feel about it... the men's underwear laying by the entrance nearest our room... More

I made a reservation at the Totem for when we got off the ferry from Port Hardy to Prince Rupert. When I got to the hotel with 2 very tired children, I was informed that they had given away our room as apparently there had been a computer glitch & my reservation didn't show, even though I had a confirmation... Our sincere apologies that you had such a bad experience with us. We did have a system crash early in the summer that resulted in the loss of some reservations, and unfortunately on the the night of your reservation we were mistakenly overbooked due to this crash. We're very glad you enjoyed your stay at the Pacific Inn, and we... More

We stayed at the Totem overnight in mid Sept 2012 on a trip to Haida Gwaii. The room was quite large and very well appointed although, like others have mentioned, somewhat dated. The bed seemed kinda bouncy at first but we had a lovely sleep on it. We got in late off the Port Hardy ferry i.e. 11 PM and... More
