Stayed in the hotel for 3 nights and was totally impressed with the professional service and quality of every aspect of the hotel from housekeeping to restaurant. Steve, the hotel manager, went out of his way to please our group at every turn. He was amazing..as was all the staff! We will definitely return to the Highliner on our next... More

Hotel is little bit older and needs some updating for the price of the rooms but the staff more than makes up for it. Stephanie, who was on front desk, had the onerous task of informing all of us waiting for the airport shuttle that our flight was cancelled. She then very professionally and courteously went about booking us rooms... More

From the outside the Highliner plaza is easily the most recognizable building in all of Prince Rupert. It's the tallest building in the area which contributes to a pretty decent view all the way around. We got in late but the lady at the front desk was still entirely pleasant and helped us get set up for the weekend. She... More

On a previous trip some 20 years ago we stayed here and as we were taking the car ferry from Bella Bella to Prince Rupert, nostalgia lured us back. We arrived at midnight to a lobby that was being taken apart and left at 9.30 the next morning, so our stay was brief. We understood some refurbishing of the Highliner... More

Firstly, I'll list the good things, Right on the waterfront the hotel is ideally located for most of pr rupert. Close to shops, restaurants and parks for the kids. On road parking outside is plentiful and we had no problems there finding a space, day or night. Wifi was excellent, this may sound trivial but I have two teens and... More

The hotel is old and has not been updated in any way, that we could see. Our first room was on the sixth floor with a beautiful view of the ocean. There is no air-conditioning nor fans and the door to deck would not lock and the room was extremely hot when we arrived. There were no towels in the... More

The overall reviews of this hotel are fairly accurate. Although the room was large, there was no air conditioning or even a fan in the bathroom. We slept with the sliding door open all night and it still didn't cool down. The building is aged, but the room wasn't too bad. However, the housekeeping was poor. About half way through... More

My family and I just spent some time in Prince Rupert and stayed at Highliner Hotel. The hotel had an amazing view and staff was terrific. The front desk was well organized and answered all questions we had. Big thank you to Dayna and the other front desk staff. Would definitely stay again when in town :)

The lobby gives you a false impression. The room quality is terrible for the money they charge. Furniture is old. The side chair stained. Some of the electrical outlets don't work. The drapes are old. The heat thermostat was turned off but heat was still coming out of the register. The desk lamp shade sat tilted because it's broken. Housekeeping... More

We booked on line but the room ended up with maintenance issues before we got there. So they gave us another room at the same price as it would have been had we booked on line. The young fellow who helped us was extremely helpful and courteous. The substitute room was great and very spacious. We still had a view... More
