This hotel is misrepresented by the photos on its website. Rather than being among trees and next to the ocean, it is, in fact, located next to a loud bar, shopping mall and car parks. Our room was supposed to have ocean and mountain views - these were actually peripheral to the car park which we directly overlooked. As with... More

I got to Prince Rupert on the evening flight in this Sunday. The Highliner hotel is only a block away from the where the bus stops after the ferry ride from the airport. It's also got the National car rental facility in the same building - pretty convenient! Plus there's a Tim Horton's and several other restaurants within walking distance.... More

It cost a bit more than a few others in town but late at night just arriving in Prince Rupert it was a nice place to stay. The room had a great view and the food in the lobby was good. The service was friendly albeit a little slow.

Fantastic view, beds very comfortable, slept like a log. Great staff, easy check-in. Also got delayed nearly a day coming in due to a storm and the hotel did not charge for that day (although we had the room reserved). Only vice - the cleaners missed a small spot or 2 in the bathroom. Overall would recommend as a great... More

I have stayed here before, and it is nice to see they are continuing with their upgrades. The front desk staff are good, and the restaurant staff are excellent. This trip I was pretty disappointed- the room itself was clean, though dated. I do not think they have begun upgrading any rooms, just the lobby and hallways. The housekeeping staff... More

Needs to improve its house keeping, rooms dirty, noisy, water smells and discoloured. Perfect location and still has limited smoking rooms. In my opinion, not worth the money unless you want a smoking room.

I have stayed at the Highliner in the past and have been happy with the service. It is a grey building filled with incredible staff. I just want to share a tip - the bus for the airport leaves from here and if, as often happens, the plane cannot land and you are stuck for the day, the staff are... More

Stayed here for 4 nights for work. Very convenient location because the airport shuttle drops you off here and there's a rental car place in the hotel. Had a spacious corner room with a large balcony and great view of the water. My room had a fridge but my coworker's didn't. Staff were friendly and helpful. Big a la carte... More

The hotel is old and needs a lot of maintenance upgrades. The I've machine outside my room dropped ice all day and night waking me up. The shower would fluctuate between dangerously hot to frigid cold. Babies cried in the hallway and people yelled in the streets and adjoining rooms. The people are very friendly and seem to make the... More

The hotel room was large, but run down. It is badly in need of renovations. The bed was also not as comfortable as it could have been, as it sagged in the middle. But, we got a good enough sleep, and the room was clean.
