4 of 5 stars Reviewed 4 days ago NEW

So I'm writing this in response to some of the other reviews. We had a lovely time and just got back a few days ago. These reviews stipulating that the place is completely run down are full of it. Maybe that was the case a few years ago but it was very clean when we went. The museum is really... More

If you are searching luxury, forgot it and move on. If you like camping - its one of the best! Views of the lake, Quiet sites. Electricity adjacent to the tent and feet away from the Kettle Valley Trail. Wilderness camping with extra bonuses. Washrooms are cleaned daily and there are hot showers. . Yes, all the comments are true.... More

We stayed in the lodge for 1 night on a recent bike trip on the KVR. It was very hot that day and we were glad to have a cold drink. The owner's are both so welcoming and nice. They are pleased to answer questions and show you their collection of memorabilia and other 'finds'. Some are for sale and... More

We were a group of 13 this weekend staying at the 'resort' for a bike ride from Chute to Myra Canyon and back. We rented three cabins and the rest tented. I saw the inside of cabin 5 (horrifying) and stayed in cabin 8 (had potential, and better than 5, but still pretty terrible). I was prepared for rustic, but... More

Drove from Naramata to Kelowna today. Stopped off at the Chute Lake Resort for a rest. Its such a rustic and nostalgic pit stop. The nick-nacks are amazing. What a hoot! Worth seeing! The lunch prices are reasonable, too.

They don't advertise as a fishing resort and that would be appropriate. We stayed in one of their cabins close to the lake. We did not eat at the Lodge so can't comment on their food or their Lodge rooms. The owners and staff are very friendly, personable and informative. Their prices for renting a cabin are very competitive. They... More

Probably the most amazing thing about Chute lake is the ecology. It's healthy. On our first visit in July we watched a huge beautiful coyote eye up our two little dogs from, maybe 20 yards away. We strode up to the boat launch, primitive, at the end of the lake and we were amazed by thuqe thousands of tadpoles swimming... More

this place is a mixture of extremes. Decripid? yes..perhaps...but not filthy dirty. ancient beds, even older carpets, and very odd furnishings, but it was warm and dry. The restaurant was awesome. Great burgers (but that is their only choice) and spectacular rustic decor. It's worth the visit for this place only. Is it worth the money? It depends....if it's been... More

Went to Chute Lake Resort for a day trip. Stopped by for a hamburger - loaded plus fries. Best hamburger we've had anywhere in the Okanagan Valley. Did a 4 mile return hike to Elinor Lake and stopped by the resort for homemade pie alamode. Choice of Apple, Rhubarb or Peach pie. We had all three. Beautiful area and scenery.... More

We stayed for 2 nights. The cabins were wonderful rustic and very comfortable. The menu is very limitrd but the food was great and the beer was cold. Facilities for cooking yourself are great, just be sure you take water as theirs is not potable. The area itself is beautiful, we rode bicycles up the KVR from Penticton, is a beautiful... More
