We drove from Naramata to Chute Lake Lodge for lunch. Great buggers and pie a-la-mode, in a rustic setting...we played pool, played tunes on the juke box, and perused the collection of antiques...so much fun and so interesting. A must do if you like nostalgia. We brought bikes with us and our group (except for our driver) rode back to... More

Drove from Naramata to Kelowna today. Stopped off at the Chute Lake Resort for a rest. Its such a rustic and nostalgic pit stop. The nick-nacks are amazing. What a hoot! Worth seeing! The lunch prices are reasonable, too.

They don't advertise as a fishing resort and that would be appropriate. We stayed in one of their cabins close to the lake. We did not eat at the Lodge so can't comment on their food or their Lodge rooms. The owners and staff are very friendly, personable and informative. Their prices for renting a cabin are very competitive. They... More

Probably the most amazing thing about Chute lake is the ecology. It's healthy. On our first visit in July we watched a huge beautiful coyote eye up our two little dogs from, maybe 20 yards away. We strode up to the boat launch, primitive, at the end of the lake and we were amazed by thuqe thousands of tadpoles swimming... More

this place is a mixture of extremes. Decripid? yes..perhaps...but not filthy dirty. ancient beds, even older carpets, and very odd furnishings, but it was warm and dry. The restaurant was awesome. Great burgers (but that is their only choice) and spectacular rustic decor. It's worth the visit for this place only. Is it worth the money? It depends....if it's been... More

Went to Chute Lake Resort for a day trip. Stopped by for a hamburger - loaded plus fries. Best hamburger we've had anywhere in the Okanagan Valley. Did a 4 mile return hike to Elinor Lake and stopped by the resort for homemade pie alamode. Choice of Apple, Rhubarb or Peach pie. We had all three. Beautiful area and scenery.... More

We stayed for 2 nights. The cabins were wonderful rustic and very comfortable. The menu is very limitrd but the food was great and the beer was cold. Facilities for cooking yourself are great, just be sure you take water as theirs is not potable. The area itself is beautiful, we rode bicycles up the KVR from Penticton, is a beautiful... More

Unfortunately, the only redeeming factor was location since we were pedalling the KVR. Everyone agreed, it would have been better to stay in town afterwards. The road up from Kelowna, is in rough shape since it had not been graded for a long time. Nothing worked in our cabin. We renamed it "Hodge Podge Lodge."

Biking the KVR would be the ONLY reason to stay here. Ride through to Penticton if you can. At a price about half what is charged, it would be "quaint". At the current price, it is price gouging for a run down place cobbled together with flea market "finds". The "made up room" included no towels, avocado shag carpeting with... More
