Many reviews are quite correct; the furniture, the carpet, doors, etcetera, are right from the 70's. The craftsmanship on room repairs is questionable: two different materials used in the shower surround, plaster work, and paint finishings. However, I did check the mattress and pillows, as I always do...both were clean and near new. Bed was very comfortable The flat screen... More

Firstly, the motel is in a pretty good location as you can get to Downtown with reasonable ease and there's plenty on the 'strip' where it is to see and enjoy. The room didn't feel all that safe due to lots of different access points on different doors with small bolts and wobbly doors. There was also a lot of... More

Take a look at the photos. You get what is advertised. A very clean motel. The pool was heated and perfect for the kids to romp or adults to have a quick dip. BBQs worked well and lots of groups were using the grassy picnic area for dinner. The kitchen is well stocked with basics including apartment sized fridge and... More

The owner made us feel very welcome on our arrival. The room was clean, a little dated and solid block walls! Thus good soundproofing. Reasonable (driving) location from Downtown and due to many events taking place, downtown accommodation was full. However, I was pleasantly surprised with the facilities I would stay here again.

I have read the reviews here and do not know why people don't like this place. Is it dated? Yup. Is it old? Ya. Are the towels a bit worn. Uh huh. Is the wifi spotty? It was, but i am on vacation! I really do not NEED wifi. And when I asked about it they immediately put a call... More

Don't see many mom and pop motels around anymore but wish there were more! We had and amazing stay here Jas & Jack were awesome, our rooms where always clean the beds super comfortable and the whole atmosphere was just excellent. I will definitely stay here again when visiting the Okanogan.

Old and badly in need of upgrading and repairs. The bathroom towels were literally threadbare (with threads hanging down at the edges). The bed was not comfortable. The wifi wasn't working and it was hard to get TV (without getting frustrated trying to figure out which channels were actually available. Most other motels have a listing of available TV channels).... More

We were coming into Penticton for the Gran Fondo and when we were trying to book a room everything seemed to be either over priced or sold out. A friend told us about 5000 Motel and they were awesome in getting us 3 rooms at a very reasonable price. When we arrived Jas at the front desk was amazing and... More

Okay for a place to sleep. Clean but very dated. Requires serious updating on everything form units to furniture. Owners are very gracious. I would recommend looking at the rooms before making a commitment to renting one.

Loved the extra storage shelves in the bathroom. Futon was squeaky. AC worked. TV is a flatscreen. Fridge was a good size and fairly new. Kitchen was good...spatulas etc felt like they would be so easy to break...overall a good budget accommodation.
