Tired old place in a run down area, ambulances run past the front and the skytrain screeches behind the back so it is noisy. The room was clean but well used, front door staff only till 11.00 and other than Subway not a place near for breakfast

Hi Michele M, Thank you so much for writing the review on Trip advisor. It's very disappointing to read that we had not met your expectation. We are sorry to hear that you were upset with the noise from train, and felt unsafe staying with us. it's really hard for us to control the noise issue as we are located... More

This was our 2nd stay and the room was better than the first time. Will request it next time (hopefully). The walls are thin so we heard our Neighbours talking & woke to their "loud" tv at 6:30 a.m. Not impressed ! Room pretty clean (few exceptions) & comfy beds. Mini fridge, microwave, coffee maker in room. 15% discount on... More

No, this is not a luxury hotel, but for what it is, for our needs, and for the price, it certainly deserves an excellent rating. Our room was plain but large and perfectly clean and pleasant, and there was a very pleasant sitting area in the center of our floor. The staff was very helpful. The train does pass right... More

Found "The Met" online as we were going to be staying in New Westminster to watch the Canucks lose and we didn't want to drive that night! The hotel is older but clean, the staff were friendly and helpful and the bed was comfortable. This is not a high end hotel, the rooms are clean but sparsely furnished with not... More

My boyfriend and I stayed there for one night. We arrived later at night and it was a difficult neighborhood to find dinner after 10. The hotel staff were all friendly and helpful but the condition of the hotel itself left a lot to be desired. The furniture was dated and had a kind of dingy feel. The room was... More

I needed a place to stay for a couple of nights and it turned out ok. After reading reviews, I chose to request a room on the top floor ( fourth floor) on the Columbia street side, which faces the Fraser river. I was there a Tuesday and Wednesday so the milage may differ on the weekend, but I had... More

The Met, New Westminster is a well run reasonably priced hotel with friendly and accommodating staff. We have stayed there three times when visiting family and have always found the rooms to be clean. It is centrally located and very close to the skytrain for downtown Vancouver.

I stayed at The Met during a transition time between moving out and flying overseas for work after it was recommended by a friend, and it was a mistake. The building is nice, the staff seemed decent (at first), and the rooms were clean and spacious, but the hotel is located above a pub which rendered sleep impossible every night... More

Decent Rooms. Clean. Friendly staff. Pub downstairs. Had good wings. Bloody hot but good. Bed was a little hard. And there is a sky train station behind. I slept through it. Lots of transit near it. Short trip to shopping by sky train or walking even.

My partner and I are both dependant on our power mobility devices. On arrival the managers son assisted us getting our car unloaded and everything into the hotel. He even met me in the parkade and helped me unload my mini scooter. The only minus to this hotel is the parking which is across the street. Room was comfortable, quiet,... More
