Awesome place. Ken & Val are delightful and so accommodating. It is so well managed. Bathrooms and showers are always clean. Plenty of hot water. They are always doing improvements & they go that extra mile to make your stay comfortable, fun & relaxing. Their staff are great. The sites are wooded and quite private. This is a wonderful campground, truly a pleasure to stay at, especially compared to some of the larger one's in the area. Thank you for the kind words! It's great to hear when you're doing things right. It's all of the campers that keep on coming back that make it such a great place to be. More

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Central on beautiful Vancouver Island, just south of Nanaimo, a lovely 40 acre campground nestles near the famous Nanaimo River. Out in the country, away from the noise, yet only 20 minutes to Nanaimo or the ferries, step back in time to the campground of your youth. Your Nanaimo camping trip won't be complete without a visit to Central Vancouver Island's favorite campground. Remember camping with friends and family, sitting around a fire in your campsite. Have you played horseshoes lately, or maybe spent an hour quietly contemplating the pond. That's camping the way it should be. Come on out and try it. ... more   less
