This was my first time staying here and I loved it. From the friendly check in to the friendly check out. I could find nothing at fault. I did have a minor issue with my door not letting me out but it was fixed within 15 minutes of mentioning it. Megan (who was working the front desk the evening I... More

Thank you for this wonderful review. I am glad we were able to take care of the issue with the door right away. We have a great crew here, and while Megan may be one of our newest members, you are right, she is a keeper. We look forward to seeing you on your next visit to Nanaimo. James Young... More

We stay here, usually when spending Christmas with family. The rooms have been nicely Renovated, with very comfortable beds and a nice coffee maker. We appreciate the breakfast Which is included and a Globe newspaper delivered to the door each morning. It would be nice To come in the summer and enjoy the lake!

Thank you for your review. I am glad you have noticed the changes-we are not done by any means, and there should be some even bigger changes in place by your next visit. You should definitely come in the summer! It's so nice to get out and enjoy the property, and hopefully get in a kayak or pedalboat (or a... More

Second trip for me to the Inn on Long Lake. First was about 5 years ago and it was the reason I came back. Still a great establishment with awesome staff. All rooms are great as they face the lake. If you stay on the 2nd or 3rd floor, make sure to leave your blinds open and get woke up... More

We stay here anytime we can. We always get a room on the top floor to get the best view of the lake. It doesn't feel like you are in a city at all, with the lake, the boats and the birds. In the warm months, my husband brings his fly fishing gear and belly boat, and in the morning,... More

Thank you for the great review. We all love this spot too, but none of us seem to get out fishing very much. They do stock the lake once or twice a year with trout, and there are also bass in the lake, as I am sure your husband already knows. We look forward to seeing you on your next... More

Spent a night here in November while visiting friends in the area. First floor rooms have lawn access which leads straight up to the lake. We were greeted with a lovely sunrise in the morning. The in-door hot tub is by the lake in its own building; you can also rent canoes to pedal around during warmer season. The stay... More

Thank you beifangde1 for your review. We are very lucky to have such beautiful sunrises across the lake. I have many photos of the sun rising over the far end of the lake in all seasons and conditions. I am glad that you enjoyed your stay with us, and I hope to see you when you return to Nanaimo. We frequently come to Nanaimo for great shopping, and family visits as well. There is lots of choice in this city but really, there is no choice if you want great value, clean and friendly comfortable place to stay - It is always going to be this hotel for us. It has an amazing location, right on the lake -... More

Originally from Nanaimo but now live out of town. We stayed at the inn for a close friends' nearby wedding in the summer of 2014. We were honestly shocked by the quality/cleanliness of the rooms, they're decently modern, very clean and well-appointed. We chose a ground floor suite because we wanted easy lake access (Long Lake is a really nice... More

Thank you vancouverites211 for taking a few minutes to review our property. I learn so much from our guests about Long Lake, the community, and its history. I am very aware that Long Lake means... More

We were so impressed with Inn on Long Lake last time that we decided to stay again. This time it was the end of summer (last days of August). We only stayed for one night but took time for a walk around the lake. I discovered some older gentlemen sailing their radio controlled boats and was offered the opportunity to... More

I am glad you were able to see the gentlemen from the Nanaimo Model Boat club sailing their boats. They put a lot of effort and dedication into building their boats and then actually sailing them. Personally, I am always amazed at how fast they zoom around the lake strictly on the power of the wind-no motors involved! I hope... More

We found this hotel on the road out of Nanaimo when we hadn't found a nice location in the city. We were welcomed at reception and given a good room rate. We had a wonderful hour in the cabana where the hot tub and sauna are and then appreciated the complementary biscuits and drinks in the reception area. The receptionist... More

Thank you Caren L The Inn On Long Lake has been a supporter of the Cops for Cancer Tour De Rock for may years.
