I would like to once again thank James and his Staff for a Job well done !! We had an association meeting with a small group of 20 using the Inns accommodations and meeting rooms. The "Staff" looked after our lunch and coffee breaks, the food was great. The rooms and suites were awesome. Thanks again for the great hospitality... More

One of family members recommended this motel, we found this establishment very quite/ideality located to numerous amenities (shopping malls/restaurants) on the Island Highway. This motel is uniquely located on the edge of Long Lake were you can enjoy sites & sounds, also remember it is pet friendly (dogs)! Our room was nicely situated to the far ends from the lobby... Thank you for taking the time to post this wonderful review. We are indeed blessed with a unique location. Right on the shore of a beautiful tree lined lake, similar to what you might expect in "cottage country", yet within walking distance of a major shopping mall and restaurants. Sitting on your balcony looking down beautiful Long Lake is a... More

We had a one nighter here and were not disappointed. A bit more pricey than some of the other options in this part of Nanaimo but worth it. Our first floor room had a nice view of the lake -- as all rooms do -- but I would expect it would be even nicer on the upper floors. The room... More

Thank you for writing this review. I am glad that you enjoyed your brief stay with us. The views over Long Lake are wonderful-something I never tire of myself. Some people do indeed prefer the view from the upper floors, while others prefer being able to walk off their patio onto the lake side lawns area. I am glad that... More

Thanks for making our stay during the Lions Club Conference this weekend so great. I'd love to come and stay during the summer when all the trees are in leaf and the weather is warm enough to go for a swim in the lake. roms were very large with microwave, fridge and coffee maker. Great hot tub building. Big tub... More

It was a pleasure having the Lions Club conference stay with us! Your group was such fun to have here. Not to mention all the good work the Lions Clubs are doing helping others. We would love to see you back in the summer. While the lake is beautiful at any time, it really is at its best when the... More

We chose this hotel because of its dog friendly policy and the location was good for what we wanted to see and do in Nanaimo. The room on the ground floor had easy access to the lake and the gym and hot tub. It was well equipped with a fridge and microwave as well as the usual coffee maker. A... More

We booked a room at the Inn based on its location on Long Lake. It was a good decision. The view overlooking the lake is tranquil and inviting, creating a memorable experience. I expect families with children will appreciate the setting even more because there are places to explore and things to do on the lake. The room was spacious,... More

We chose the Long Lake Inn in Nanaimo while we were on a house hunting trip and were there for 5 nights. The rooms are fine, were clean and had a pretty view of the lake. We would have preferred a bigger room being it was 4 of us, 2 adults and 2 kids but they had a hockey team... More

I stayed here once and tried to book a second time: the room is definitely very dated, but large and actually despite being by a very busy highway is a peaceful outlook onto the lake. Kids loved the ducks The free breakfast was plentiful and nice. I called and asked to book a king suite, my kids were in the... More

Thank you for taking the time to review our property. I am glad that you found your stay to be relaxing and pleasant when you stayed with us. We love seeing the ducks, hummingbirds, and yesterday a beautiful hawk at our property. In the summertime we often have children "help" us feed the ducks and geese at the lakeshore. I... More

My choice because it was close to my meetings. Not a horrible experience but I found the room drafty and the highway noise was very loud. The location on the lake is actually very pretty but overall I thought this hotel felt like a motel. Check in staff was helpful and professional, breakfast room staff less than friendly and didnt... Thank you for taking the time to review our property. I am sorry that you were disappointed in your recent stay. I can't say enough about this wonderful gem. It is great to know that when you've been traveling and had ferry issues, there is a great place to stay that is close, clean and affordable.
