I'm late with this review so forgive me fellow traveler. I stayed here for the second time with my wife in November. The room was very clean, and large, with modern furniture. The continental breakfast in the morning was very nicely done. I love the sauna and grounds at this hotel right on the lake. The only negative was that... More

Thank you calgaryglobetrotter8 for the great review. We do work hard to maintain the grounds, and the whole property. It looks even nicer now than it did in November-the flowers are out, the trees are in leaf, and today the sun is shining! We were indeed warning our guests about the issue with break-ins. There was a problem across the... More

We stayed at this hotel for 2 nights. All the rooms have a view of the lake which is lovely and calming. The rooms themselves are very clean & quite spacious and the beds comfortable. The free continental breakfast has enough choices to keep you satisfied and the staff are very friendly & nice. Overall this hotel is situated not... More

Thank you macedon2 for taking the time to share your thoughts. I agree completely-we have a lovely location right on the lake shore, and every room having a private balcony or patio to enjoy it from is a bonus. With birds from mallard ducks and Canada geese to red-winged blackbirds, great blue herons, and (from time to time) bald eagles... More

Although beside a hwy, the rooms are sound proof, and I never hear the traffic, as the rooms face the water. The views are of a peaceful small lake, dotted with reeds. There's a walking path and a dock. Staff is friendly. Location is not downtown, but with a car, one is less than 5 min. from Sears or the... More

Thank you for sharing this great review of our property. You are right, we are next to the highway, but the noise is not much of an issue, as your patio and window face the lake. As we say, we are "Your lakeside resort in the City", within walking distances of shops and restaurants, yet letting you relax on your... More

We stayed here 3 nights in a partial Lakeview room. The rooms were quite adequate and breakfast in the morning was filling. The hotel is very close to parks and lots of shopping. Wifi is fast and free.

Thank you for taking the time to post this review. I am glad you enjoyed your stay in Nanaimo. There are some wonder parks in Nanaimo, from Westwood Lake and its forested trails, to Neck Point Park and Pipers Lagoon, two parks with beautiful seafront settings. James Young General Manager More

The Inn is well located in Nanaimo, providing easy access to shopping, the highway and downtown is not too far away. All of the rooms are located in a manner to provide water views from them all. We had a dog friendly room on the second floor with a balcony and two Queen beds. There was also a small kitchenette.... More

Thank you for your wonderful review. I am glad you appreciate our hotel as much as we do. We are very lucky to have the location we have-right on the shore of a lake, yet still in the City. We do work to make it a comfortable stay for everyone, and we do have many people travelling with pets stay... More

I just stayed here for 4 days with my dog, and the staff were very welcoming and accommodating. I would stay here again. The free breakfast was good - toast, cereal, boiled eggs, waffles, juice, coffee, fruit. The rooms were very nice, the bathrooms occasionally had small flies or bugs in them (2 other people in my party noticed that... More

Thank you KarenJ7777. I am glad the room worked well for your stay, and for your four legged family member. We love having dogs visit, and I think our property is very comfortable for them and their owners. I do apologize for the small flies you saw in your rooms. It is the one drawback of being located literally on... More

Every Room has a view. But that's not the best part. Even better is the service and people that work here. I'm an early riser, and they set up the free breakfast a little earl for me on more than one occasion. As a note, if your gluten free, they have limited options. Fruit is about all. Rooms are clean,... More

Thank you Andrew B for your great comments. I love our view of the lake too, but I agree that the best part is the people who work here. They really do care about making every guests' stay a pleasant one. I agree, there aren't a lot of options that are gluten free, but we do have fresh fruit, yogurt,... More

My husband and I recently stayed at this hotel. It is ideally located for any activity in Nanaimo. Staff were extremely helpful and friendly. The rooms were immaculate and provided an oasis in the city with the beautiful lake location. We will be back again.

Thank you adgoose. We really appreciate the kind words, and we appreciate knowing that you enjoyed your stay at our little Inn. Newer, well appointed rooms with georgeous views onto Long Lake. Geese and ducks parade from the water every morning. There is a very generous breakfast daily. Thank you. I am so glad you enjoyed your stay. We do seem to have a parade of ducks and geese every morning, and we love seeing them.
