This is an excellent facility - the rooms are spacious, well appointed and impeccably clean - the icing on the cake is that all rooms face beautiful Long Lake - I spent much time on the private balcony attached to my room, enjoying the ambiance and view. It felt very luxurious even though I was there for business.

Thank you for taking the time to review our property. I cannot think of a greater compliment that you could pay us than to say that you wanted to stay longer. We have many business travellers stay with us, and we recognize that even if you are on business you want (and some days need) a relaxing environment to "come... More

I am so glad that you found us, and that you had such a great stay. You are absolutely right-all the rooms do have a view of the water. It's such a nice view, whether on the main floor, with the ability to walk directly out to the lawns, or higher up for a little more "panoramic" view. You can't... More

Upon arrival we didn't realize there was an Elevator to the 3rd floor. Found it the next day. Ask at desk for the location. Room was very clean, spacious and well equipped with coffee pot, sink, refrigerator, dish towels and all the little extras. There was a nice balcony with a couple chairs and a nice view of Long Lake.... More

Thank you for the wonderful review. I am so glad that you enjoyed your stay at our lakeside Inn. It is a great place to relax, looking over the water from your private balcony-sometimes the wildlife comes out to entertain-we have Canada geese, mallards, as well asthe occasional racoon, mink and otter along the lakeshore. Not to mention red-winged blackbirds,and... More

Every room in this hotel has a balcony that faces the Lake. Enjoying sunset in this location is one of the most relaxing experiences. My wife and I had an excellent room on the 3rd floor with a great view of the lake.

Thank you David P for the great review. It is great being able to relax on your own patio or balcony and look out over the lake. The view is a bit better up high, but some prefer the convenience of being able to access the lawn and grounds from their main floor patio-which still has a pretty good view.... More

Stayed for an overnight business trip. Room amenities were basic with, micro, small fridge, and counter area for food prep; bathroom had some minor issues; beds were comfortable. Most rooms look out over the lake, very peaceful setting in a very convenient location. Malls, restaurants and grocery nearby and right off the highway for easy access. Would definitely stay here... Thank you for taking time to review our property. I have to agree, it is so relaxing, yet still close to shopping, restaurants, movies, and the many businesses of North Nanaimo. It seems to work well for business travellers, with the great location, free and ample parking, high speed internet-every room has its own modem-, and complimentary continental breakfast. We... More

The three nights we spent in your hotel were blissfully peaceful and rejuvenating, thank you! We loved your generously appointed rooms and the calling of the Red-winged Blackbirds and watching the waterfowl on the lake from our balcony was so relaxing! We only stayed one night, but were pleasantly surprised. Our room was on the top floor and we had a beautiful view of the lake. We'd had a busy and stressful day, so the serenity and closeness to nature was just perfect. We could sit outside on the balcony and listen to the birds while watching the sun set. (The... More

Thank you for your wonderful review. I am glad that you found our little gem on the lakeshore. It is a very relaxing spot, and every room looks out on the lake-not something you can find very often in a city. Thank you for the wonderful review! We are always pleased to welcome the BC Campground and Lodging Association to our Inn, as we have done for, I believe, 4 years now. One of family members recommended this motel, we found this establishment very quite/ideality located to numerous amenities (shopping malls/restaurants) on the Island Highway. This motel is uniquely located on the edge of Long Lake were you can enjoy sites & sounds, also remember it is pet friendly (dogs)! Our room was nicely situated to the far ends from the lobby... Thank you for taking the time to post this wonderful review. We are indeed blessed with a unique location. We had a one nighter here and were not disappointed. A bit more pricey than some of the other options in this part of Nanaimo but worth it. Our first floor room had a nice view of the lake -- as all rooms do -- but I would expect it would be even nicer on the upper floors. The room... More
