My total stay at this hotel only lasted about 8 hours so I can't comment on it at length. Overall, the room was clean with dated furnishings. Some staff members were somewhat gruff but others were friendly. The continental breakfast was minimal (unappealing danish and muffins, and some cereal). It is a satisfactory accommodation but nothing special. more

Nanaimo is well-located for day-trips all over the island, and one can do very well as this motel for a base. It's very clean and well-run, with all the amenities except a hot tub/pool. A sauna and exercise room is available though. Good beds, of course. The place seems to have been updated recently, and the outside is being painted/improved... more

I arrived tired, hungry and in need of my room. I had requested a quiet room. It was everything I had expected. The room was tiny, but as it was only myself that didn't matter. Stayed here for 1 night in July 2004. Glad it wasn't any longer! The hotel is in a fork between two major roads, about 15minute walk from the (small!)centre of town. Be warned the restaurants seem to shut about 8:30pm! Room was very shabby, bathroom not particularly clean, and badly maintained - the toilet rocked violently when sat upon! Concrete... more
