We wanted a room for one night before catching the ferry back to Vancouver and saw the Travelodge. Our room had a small balcony, from which the ocean was visible. The hotel: Great location, can walk to harbour, rental car, lots of restaurants. Only minutes to Departure Bay ferry. Amenities are adequate. The Staff: Absolutely Fantastic! Loved the location - just over a mile away from the harbour, and close to the town centre. The staff was helpful, friendly and accomodating. The rooms were clean and well prepared. I agree with the previous comment about the A/C. Being next to the main road in Nainamo makes it a bit noisy (but not that I really noticed).... more

We loved it! stopped by the Travelodge on our way off the ferry, too tired to drive up island in the dark...great little hotel with the friendliest desk staff...GREAT deluxe breakfast (toast, hard boiled eggs, cereal, fruit, yogurt, bagels, and excellent coffee)...good location, close to downtown and we went for a nice morning walk on the harbour walkway...nice big room... more

The hotel is in a good location. You can walk up to the nice harbour. Also it's only 3 km from the ferry to Vancouver. Did not like the airconditioning as it made lot's of noise and was to close to the bed. We had 2 hotelrooms and in the other room the AC did not cool up the room... more
