This place is nothing special at all. But it is not bad either and the front desk staff were very pleasant and helpful. The hotel is well situated to restaurants, downtown, the waterfront and a Husky convenience store. But one thing we didn't like is it does not have an elevator. We had to haul six large suitcases up stairs.... More

On a recent transit through Nanaimo this Travelodge was a good stopping off point. Front desk service was friendly and helpful. Particular thanks to Lisa who went the extra mile to tell us about the lovely harbourside walk accessible across the road from the hotel. Sure the room decor needs modernising but you can't fault the substantial breakfast on offer.... More

I had to work in Nanaimo for two days and there was a large convention in downtown so needed an alternative site. It was slightly away from core but in close enough proximity to restaurants and the ocean. The check in staff were warm and welcoming. The hotel is a little tired but essentially clean. I would stay here again

We were just booked in for the one night on our way to Tofino. Found the front desk ladies fun and great help. The location to the walkway into town was across the street and was a quick beautiful walk to the downtown. The rooms were clean and comfortable and quiet and found it very reasonable price wise.

We decided to stay the night at Travelodge based on the reviews but when we arrived we decided to go somewhere else. There were people in the lobby unpacking on the floor and some sketchy looking people hanging around. We waited for 10 minutes for someone to appear at the front desk and when someone finally came, they had no... More

We did not intend to have a luxury hotel experience at the Travelodge Nanaimo. We were coming in on a late ferry and the location was right at the terminal. We were leaving for our destination first thing in the morning and breakfast began at 6 AM. If you choose to stay here, be prepared for a possibly lumpy bed,... More

We were glad that this hotel accepted pets and were welcomed with a goody bag so we were feeling good about our choice. We wanted to pay with debit but of course had to provide a visa and the hold was put on for the room total...not a problem and were assured that it would be removed when we checked... More

Stayed here for two nights on the Victoria Day long weekend. The front desk was very helpful and offered service with a smile, which was nice after a long drive with 3 kids. The "family suite" was unexpectedly spacious and the beds and bathrooms were quite clean. In fact the only thing that caught my eye was some little greasy... More

Our stay at the Travelodge was way more than we expected. Monique at the front desk was extremely knowledgable about things to see and do in Nanaimo, Tofino, Duncan, Chemainus, and about everywhere else in between. We did not know or see anything about the Kinsol Trestle, but Monique told us where it was and some of the history of... More
