My fiance and I stayed at this lovely hotel in July 2008, we stayed in the "Cozy Suite", as we only needed it for one night. After reading the room description about a small room, as we opened the door expecting the worst, we were relieved and highly impressed. For a small room it was layed out perfectly! The tiny... more

We stayed at the Buccaneer as a home base for two days of road tripping around northern Vancouver Island. The suite was spotless, the bed was BLISS and the kitchen allowed us to save money on food. And on top of that, the owners are gracious, accommodating and gave us great advice about places to visit, eat, etc. The price... more

I found The Bucccaneer Inn on Trip Advisor and called as soon as I found the number. They had one room left and it was one with a bedroom and a kitchenette. It was perfect, as our young toddler needs a room for himself (light sleeper). We slept in the main room and everyone got a great night's sleep. The... more

we bumped into the buccaneer inn partly by accident partly because of the recommendation in lonely planet, but no matter how we found it we were stunned - first by the lady of the house who gave us a great rate for the suite (Deluxe Channelview Fireplace Suite) and then by the suite itself and last but not least by... more

The Buccaneer Inn is located just outside of Nanaimo, B.C. The rooms are tidy and well maintained. We stayed in a room a kitchenette. It was fully furnished with plates, silverware, pots and pans. The staff was warm and friendly. It was the staff's attitude that made our stay. I strongly recommend a stay at the Buccaneer Inn. more

I stayed in the Cozy Studio for 5 nights. Great little room. Awesome for two people. Everything you need. Great location (make sure you bring walking shoes though) close to Departure Bay ferry terminal and walkway to downtown - great walk by the harbour. Fanstastic service - I didn't get to spend much time with the owners but Don and... more

This little motel is the bomb! it's sooo clean and smells great! I'm really concerned about 2 things when i pick a place to stay 1) the sheets have to be clean and white and nice and 2) the bathroom has to be clean. This place came out tops on both counts. Plus, it's so cheap! The managers are super... more

Stayed at the Buccaneer over Christmas and with the terrible weather we had to change our booking at the last minute. Management was great and even upgraded our room for free when we finally did arrive as many couldn't get through the snow. More like staying at a friend's house than at a hotel, (except your privacy is respected). Spotlessly... more

We stayed at the Buccanneer Inn over the christmas break and would like to thank the staff for making our stay so enjoyable. They were all more than helpful in offering advice on trips and restaurants, the room was immaculately clean and airy. It also good to see a business taking recycling seriously. The room rate offered good value in... more
