I drove in mid afternoon and secured a tent site near the remarkable and vast Nanaimo R estuary. Kids splashing in the water ... a nice little take-out with a spectacular verandah just steps away ... sparkling clean washrooms (showers $1 for 5 minutes ... and you're just minutes from downtown Nanaimo. Me gusta mucho!
