This is a very budget hostel. We booked a private room for $75 a night and it was not worth half that. Our air conditioner was broken (and it was very hot) and the noise from the busy street kept us awake. The carpeting in the hostel looked like it hadn't been vacuumed in weeks, or cleaned in years. The bed looked like it'd just been slept in, although I was assured by the people at the front desk that it had clean sheets and that a new employee just didn't know how to make a bed. I have travelled around quite a lot mainly on my own or with friends and stayed in many hostels during that time. This has got to be among the worst. For a weekend in the Okanoan, I couldn't think of a better place to stay then the Same Sun Hostel. Not only was the price right, but the people and staff I met were really friendly. It would be worth another trip out. more

Awesome place had a blast will def visit agian. Brand new building with huge kitchen and private patio. Skipping distance to the beach in summmer and shuttle service to the ski hills in the winter. more
