2 weeks skiing trip to Sun Peaks. The hotel is made up of privately owned units, some for residence and others leased as holiday apartments through various accommodation companies. We booked through Bear Country and found the process very good. We stayed in room 202 which was very good. The rooms are clean and well set-up. The rooms are not... More

Hotel is in a good location however Unit 105 needs work. Fridge makes a strange bang every time it shuts down, Kitchen is not well equipped: not enough cups, cutlery and cooking trays and pots and pans, no mugs etc. Oven was dirty. Dishwasher does not clean the dishes. Vertical blinds for the patio are damaged. Closet door was broken... More

The location of these apartments is fantastic: the last property on the main “pedestrian-street”. True ski in/out it takes 4 minutes to slowly ski down to the chair lifts in the morning (past all of the shops, cafes and restaurants). At night time the entire village is within a 10-minute walk: most of which is under cover. The supermarket is... More

This was the first time we've stayed in the actual village. There aren't enough cross country trails at Sun Peaks to keep us there for more than a day or two, so the thee night minimum of most rentals don't work for us. We were able to stay in unit 220 at the Fireside for just two nights (rental through... More

We (my husband and I) spent 4 days at #421 at the Fireside and found a much improved resort and hotel. Dinner at Powder Hounds was excellent, the shops and cafes in the Village were little gems. The September weather just perfect but the lift closed the day before we arrived, too bad since we wanted to go hiking "up... More

This condo property has a great location for ski in/out. Our room, 206 had dated furnishings and appliances. The bed was very uncomfortable, an old mattress with a 3 in. piece of foam on top. The sheets didn't fit and pulled out after just a few minutes. It was not the cleanest, cupboards were dirty, between the stove and counter... More

Just returned from a 5 day stay at the Fireside Lodge at Sun Peaks. We wanted a true ski in/ski out with hot-tub access, in-suite fireplace and full kitchen. Couldn't have asked for more, this place was perfect and priced right. We booked through Owner Direct and/or Sun Peaks Accomodations both of which allow you to view a variety of... More

We unfortunately visited this area over the busy New Year period and the hotel was seriously understaffed. We were actually shown into a room that was in pieces and then had to wait over 2 hours for another room. This was late afternoon/evening, we had been travelling all day and had to cook dinner that night. We were there for... More

Spent 8 nights at the Fireside Lodge in Sun Peaks Village with my husband and 12 year old son. We had a 1 bedroom condo which had a comfortable sofa bed for our son to sleep on. One of the many advantages of having only one child - you don't need a two bedroom condo! Overall Fireside Lodge is a... More

Spent two weeks at Fireside Lodge, arrived via rented car from Vancouver. Rented car off-airport at Airport Hilton (Richmond, BC), despite name of hotel it is off-airport, reach with free shuttle. Beautiful drive to Kamloops, then 45 minutes to Sun Peaks. Accomodations just great, cafes/restaurants superb, shops above average. Scenery spectacular, golf course: final 9 still under construction. Staff very... More
