I stayed here travelling through Kamloops on the way to the US from Alberta. Was pleasantly surprised! Check in was good. However the staff could most definitely use some customer service training as they were quite immature and some education about the area as we asked many questions about businesses and where to eat, etc and they had no information.... First, let me say that our stay here this past weekend was acceptable. The accommodations were clean and reasonably quiet. That being said, the ads for the residences are VERY misleading…they use the term ‘suite’, which to most travelers implies a sitting area. We had 2 very separate bedrooms, no sitting area (couch, etc), and a bare-bones kitchenette; again, the... More

The Residence & Conference Centre offered a great home base for our family wedding trip, with a double room suite, full fridge and mini kitchen. The location is just minutes to the main roads with lots of shopping and restaurants nearby. Nice and clean. Excellent value.

I stayed here as part of a family group of seven, on a road trip, having done the same thing the previous year. As the rooms are college dorms, they are quite basic and the beds may not be the most comfortable - but they are very good value and perfect for an overnight stay. We stayed in a room... More

This was a great hotel for us as we were given a suite room which inside contained 4 separated rooms and 2 bathrooms. Also there's a lot of room to walk around since it's a campus, which is nice for little kids. Breakfast was adequate, nothing great, but fine for the price we paid. Location is ok, we were just... I booked two rooms for four people with a very low price. It is not a hotel, it is a university residence and I think most staff were students. It was a very good stopover in our way to Vancouver. We got two rooms with a bathroom and kitchen shared between our rooms. It was nice to make and have... More

Centrally located close to shopping, stadium, pool. & bus transportation on a bench overlooking the city. The executive loft suites are well appointed 11th floor penthouse suites in the Thompson Rivers University Residence Tower. It is located on the University Campus and not at the 950 McGill Road street address given. As a student residence it lacks any of the... More

We stayed here for a night on our way up to Golden. It was a bit difficult to find as it was not listed on the GPS map. Check in was uneventful and quick. Rooms are basic dorm style rooms - double beds, very firm mattresses, small bathroom with shower. Noise was minimal. Basic continental breakfast (cereal, toast, bagels, fruit,... More

This is a deliberate mis-advertisement. The full name of the building is TRU Residence and Conference Centre. TRU stands for 'Thompson Rivers University' and this building is a dormitory for the university. It is not a hotel. As such, it is on the college campus, and the address is not listed on the GPS map. There is no service to... More

This place was super affordable! I booked off of Expedia and the cost was $90 for a 2bdrm. Included Wi-Fi (which was quick) and parking and a continental breakfast. Nice that each room has their own tv, so that you don't need to watch the same thing as the kids :) My only complaint would be that the beds were... More
