Big old farmhouse with spacious, clean rooms. Bathrooms clearly have been re-done and were quite nice. Great view from our room. Very quiet and dark at night -- got a restful night's sleep. Breakfast cooked to order from local ingredients, yum. more

The Fairburn Farm is at the end of road. We were on our bikes, cycling VI, for 5 days, so the end of the road seemed, well endless. Once there, you enter an experience. While the accommodation was acceptable and the setting lovely we found the hospitality very lacking. The farm owners have put a chef/proprietor in place, and we discovered none of the Canadian farm welcome which we had hoped for. The aim seemed rather to attract West Coast corporate types.
