After looking at a number of breakfast menus and asking for local opinion, this is the best choice for breakfast in town. While most restaurants offer basic egg plates or sandwiches, the Eldorado offers a wide variety of plates and sandwiches, including a big breakfast that includes two eggs, ham bacon and sausage, a pancake, potatoes and toast. When eaten... More

Decided to take a nice drive up to Dawson for a break from whitehorse for a couple of days. Camped in the truck for a night then thought it would be a fun idea to check into a hotel in town. Chose the El Dorado Hotel over The Downtown for some reason - never had an issue at The Downtown.... More

Great place to stay in and a great place to go. The restaurant has excellent breakfast fare but the service is slow when busy. Food is good, especially the omelettes. The lounge is excellent place to have a great meal in a happy environment. Staff are great. Hotel is very clean and the rooms are the best in Dawson City.... More

Thanks again for another great stay in Dawson. We enjoy the kitchenette unit in the Historic Yukon Hotel (owned by the Eldorado Hotel). We have stayed here 4 times and love the room and the location. Our room was spacious, clean, comfortable, well stocked and the staff were courteous and pleasant. We look forward to returning again.

Dawson is a small town to start with and the Eldorado is right in the middle. Walking distance to it all. Large clean room with two queen beds and clean bathroom. Free wi-fi. Restaurant is great for breakfast.

A very comfortable hotel in the centre of Dawson City with well appointed rooms, comfortable beds and very friendly service. Both evening meals and breakfasts have a good range to choose from and are very tasty with excellent (not over the top) portions. Prices are reasonable and consistent with Canada. Not bad considering its remoteness.

Stayed two nights in the Yukon Hotel, which is owned by the Eldorado. The Yukon is a charming historic property with 6 rooms. Ours included a kitchenette. It is very quiet and and located ideally for walking around town. I would request the Yukon again over the main Eldorado any time!

I always heard good things about the Eldo', and have been there nemerous times before. Recently I went there with my family, and boy did they mess up. The service was poor, he did not check up, and though it was quiet, and they messed up my order! They didnt fix the mistake, and even laughed at the mistake and... More

The wait staff was very unprepared for the breakfast crowd and turned people away even a faintly with children when one person was seated at a table for six. The food was average and considering the indifferent service I would look elsewhere next time and not consider the hotel for accommodation given our experience.

We stayed here for 1 night in July and had a clean, modern and comfy double bed room. The girl from New Zealand who checked us in was super friendly. They have a laundry room which came in handy on our road trip. Dawson and the Eldorado hotel is a bit like going back in time but thats half the... More
