Our adventure started with a bumpy flight on the sea plane from Campbell River to the Knight Inlet, which unfortunately distracted us from the stunning views out of the window. On arrival we were shown to our comfortable rooms right next to the hot tub, which the children really enjoyed. After a snack and a briefing we headed straight out... more

We had travelled from Calgary by train through the rocky mountains and onto Vancouver for 2 nights before heading up to Campbell river where we had one nights stay at the Heron landing lodge prior to the trip into Knight inlet . The journey starts in the morning around 9am when you are taken from the lodge and transferred to... more

Knight Inlet is a wonderful lodge on the water in a remote area. Fantastic seaplane flight to get there, wonderful staff and rooms that are comfortable. I had fantastic weather, in fact I got sunburnt as out on the water all day viewing the bears. Saw about 20 grizzlies including 2 sets of cubs. I even saw a bear run... more

This had to be the absolute perfect place for viewing bears and eagles. The staff was more than helpful and respectful. knowledgeable, and enjoyed the guest too. The food was outstanding, fresh crab, halibut, and prime rib. Beautiful area, full of everything one could ask for. I highly recommend this trip. more

Like some of the other reviews for this name, I am reviewing the Knight Inlet Lodge that is a collection of buildings on floats, (grizzlytours on the net) not the land building which is nearby and uses a very similar name. I was very concerned about this part of our trip as it was so expensive, costing about the same... more

There are two Knight Inlet Lodges and John has the small land based one which has enough room for two families. The food was outstanding and the crab/halibut is to die for. The days are free for you to do as you please but the boats will take you out after Humpback and Orca - not forgetting the Grizzlies and... more

We stayed at The Knight Inlet Lodge from 16-20 June 2008. The welcoming was overwhelming,as was the cooking and guiding. We saw just everything we hoped for when we booked. Black- and grizzley bears, whales, orka's,dolphins and bald eagles. So thanks again Madeleine,Kathy,Glenn and John for a a most memorable holliday. Alie and Julius more

This is a superb place, wonderfully elegant in its location and simplicity. The skinny: Location: simply the best. The Inlet, Campbell River (and the rest of The Island) are wonderful too. Bears: Fantastic. But.... much better in Alaska; the viewing towers are cramped and shared with other groups. People: mostly Brits who flew directly from LHR ignoring their numerous Canadian... more

Firstly I should stress that this is a review for the Knight Inlet Lodge that is a collection of buildings on floats, (grizzlytours on the net) not the land building which is nearby and uses a very similar name. We booked direct for a 2-night trip and the only regret I have is that we didn't stump up for an... more
