We had breakfast there and it was truly the worst experience we have ever had. The food was below dismal. The service was poor and done very grudgingly. We spent the rest of the day ill and wishing we had never eaten there.

We were on our way south from Whitehorse having enjoyed our trip to the Yukon but we certainly didn't want to miss the Liard Hotsprings. The Lodge is conveniently located right outside the provincial park and really is the only place with beds within miles. The Lodge has so much potential with it location and look however the upstairs is... More

I saw this pretty nice looking lodge and decided to stay for the night. The clerk was not friendly, happy, helpful or welcoming. She told me the price for 1 person and 1 night ($144 plus taxes). Shame on me for assuming, but I felt no reason to check out the room first. I paid, unloaded my gear and went... More

At first sight the lodge looks very inviting. As there is no competition in the area you are somewhat obliged to consider the place. The rooms are tired and pricy. The restaurant adequate. The waitress/hostess/desk clerk is the most unfriendly human being. She hates her job and people in general.what a miserable creature. On the other hand the hot springs... More

Extremely Expensive. Carpets are dirty, bed is marginally comfortable. Menu was limited and my meal nothing to rave about. Hostess is extremely rude!!!! If it were not for it's location near the hot springs this place would of closed along time ago.

We were caught in a snow storm driving to Watson Lake along the Alaskan highway and basically had no place to stop. During the winter months most of the hotels and stops are closed due to lack of winter travelers. Probably the best spot to stay in 300km+ radius. Rooms were clean and fare priced. Plus its right across the... More

Well , what can i say ? A place with an online reputation that is well-earned . A Fawlty Towers in the boreal forest , right down to the stuffed moosehead . In fact , the stuffed polar bear and rack of antlers on display in the lobby are undoubtedly the best features of this place . Any of them... More

The obvious thing to point out - Hotsprings, during the middle of winter...Amazing! Especially at night when nobody is around. I travel a fair amount for work, and after years of everything from executive suites and fancy resorts to the grungiest and oldest of isolated logging / patch camps, this location served as what it was - a conveniently located... The lady was rude and unhelpful. When I asked for her assistance I was told she was "way too busy for this" customer service alone is enough to say skip this place. It's a wonder they stay in business. Might be a good idea to look up some words in the dictionary : hospitality and customer service. I will definitely never... More

After reading the reviews that came before me, I am appalled at what whiny people there are in the world. The Liard Lodge is what it is - an OLD lodge that has obviously seen some abuse. The carpet is stained, granted, but I stayed 4 nights and saw how hard the housekeeping staff worked while cleaning the rooms. When... More
