I reserved a motel room at the Toad River Lodge with my credit card a week in advance. I showed up and the ladies puzzled over their ledger and finally told me, "Sorry, we gave your room away." I had to drive three hours to Fort Nelson to find another motel. It would have been nice if they'd offered me... more
