We stayed 2 nights. If you don't like walking you will need transport to get into Jasper township. We loved the passenger trains and goods trains passing through throughout the day. The restaurants provide great food, extensive drinks list and fabulous atmosphere. Our room was clean and tidy and the staff very friendly. We would definitely go back if the... More

We stayed one night in a renovated room (222) overlooking the forest. It was modern, clean and the beds were very comfortable. We were there on Thanksgiving Day and enjoyed a delicious turkey dinner at Walter's Dining Room. Our dining experience was made even more enjoyable by our waiter, who was attentive and very friendly.

My work Christmas party was here and it was amazing! Jasper is gorgeous, it was nice to get out of Edson. The room was beautiful, I love the way it was decorated. I had a room over looking the beautiful restaurant and pool, it was amazing and I love how everything was decorated for Christmas. The hotel staff were very... More

Thank you so very much for the kind review. We have taken note of the bathroom ceiling bracket situation, and have advised our maintenance department to remedy this immediately. We are thrilled you had a pleasant stay and a lovely Christmas party. Edson isn't that far away, we therefore look forward to seeing you again this winter! More

Our first room had no opening windows because it looked inward over the swimming pool, so we upgraded to one with a balcony. This overlooked a building site but at least we could breathe fresh air. It was -7C at night but the air con was so noisy we preferred to open the balcony. We were very excited about the... More

Thank you for your comments. We are very sorry you did not enjoy your stay. The indoor view rooms do not have windows that can be opened, for safety reasons. Our air conditioners double up as heaters for the winter months and sadly cannot be activated as air conditioners when the ambient outdoor temperature is below zero. Walter's restaurant is... More

The Sawridge is the best hotel in Jasper! Nice resto inside, heated indoor pool with jacuzzi, and amazing steam room with LED lighting in a variety of colors. Indoor fireplace and clean, tasteful rooms. A quick drive around Jasper will confirm there is nothing better. The Sawridge will make you feel like you haven't completely left civilization. Loved it here.... More

Thank you so much for your wonderful observations. We have spent several million dollars in the last two years to improve our product considerably. We will be doing so again this winter, completing the last phase of our guest room renovations. We very much appreciate your having noticed the many improvements and are delighted you had a pleasant stay. We... More

You don’t have to go very far for wildlife in Jasper. We had two amazing elk sightings, one on the way into the town from the Icefields Parkway with a magnificent beast parading along the side of the road (think he may be a regular?) and the second in the car park of the Sawridge Inn as we were sitting... Thank you for your kind review. Indeed, one of the greatest asset of the Sawridge Inn Jasper is its location, as we are located on the edge of town, resulting in many opportunities to view various wildlife. We are thrilled you had a close "elk" encounter as those are magnificent creatures. We will certainly look forward to your return visit... More

We stayed here the weekend of November 15-16. We had an excellent stay. We paid 20$ for an upgrade and got a room further back with two queen beds. We used the pool, whirlpool and sauna and all were very clean and in excellent condition. We didn't have dinner at the hotel as we wanted to eat in town (town... More

Thank you for sharing your comments, and a big thank you for your suggestion of displaying literature in French within the hotel. A large number of our team members (myself included) are fluent in French, and the hotel's website has a French component as well. But none of our literature is in French, something that we will now seriously consider.... More

Really nice hotel for a conference. Rooms are good and the beds are excellent! Wish I could have stolen the pillows! Food is really good, too. I enjoyed my time here. Beautiful setting with a nearly guaranteed view of wildlife every morning!

This hotel is quaint but on the far side of town which makes walking to town a bit far especially in the cold. It seemed quite charming and opening, until I realized certain areas were being renovated which caused luggage to be carried up and down stairs. I fully understand hotels and that remodeling is a must, but I felt... More

Thank you for sharing your comments. We are saddened you did not have a pleasant stay. For the purpose of clarification, the room you were provided with was not itself under renovations. The lobby carpet on the main hotel floor was being changed for an all new carpet, a process which took three full days. Two of our hotel suites... More

This place suffers from the "we don't care because we're always busy" mentality. Don't get an interior room as you will have the noise from the pool on one side and everyone's kids running up and down the hall on the other. When we booked they failed to mention it was undergoing renovations. As a bonus mice ran around the... More
