Just a bit out of the main town. the rooms were clean, but air conditioner was noisy. Breakfast and dinner at the hotel were great. We were on the bottom floor with a small balcony which was great dor drying your clothes as we only had one evening at this place.

My husband and I stayed here for one night. I had heard mixed reviews about this place so I was worried about staying here. I did not have to worry at all! Our stay was absolutely amazing! The staff was helpful and freindly, we tried out the breakfast buffet at the restaurant in the Inn and it was very good!... More

This hotel was very comfortable with good size rooms with air conditioning which was a bonus, The rooms good facilities including free wi-fi. Yes it was on the edge of town, but this was a nice walk which was on level ground If I was lucky enough to stay again I would choose an external room with a balcony. The... More

The room was nice enough, the beds comfy and it appeared to be an updated room (in contrast to some reviews below) but the bathroom was tiny. I know this is a resort town but the quality of the accommodations do not match the very high price. And especially given it is on the outskirts of town. And please upgrade... More

Thank you for your comment. Pricing for most Alberta Rockies resort hotels is very much dictated by supply and demand. July and August are the highest demand months of the year. We apologize for the issues encountered with our new complimentary WI-FI service. We became aware of this issue immediately thereafter, and have since had the WI-Fi service provider rectify... More

We Stayed here for one night and enjoyed it. The kids enjoyed the pool and hot tub. Beds were comfortable. Rooms were large and comfortable. The hotel had a lodge feeling. Lots of parking. The hotel is end of main strip so a bit of a walk to main stores and restaurants in jasper.

We loved the location as it was right at the end of Jasper and straight onto a variety of hikes and so, very quiet. A lovely stroll up the street took you into the centre of Jasper and gave you the opportunity to view some of the other hotels, the wonderful scenery and wildlife. The facade of the hotel is... More

Thank you very much for your comprehensive review of both the hotel and of Jasper - the destination. Most hotels do indeed run a pre-authorization of credit cards at check-in to cover any potential incidental spend generated on site during a guest's stay. This isn't a purchase per say. Alternatively, cash is provided for same in lieu of a credit... More

We were only there 2 nights so we didn't use the facilities as we were busy hiking and looking for wildlife. The front desk staff are very friendly and check in/out was very straight forward. The rooms were large and clean with good facilities; I upgraded to an outer room with balcony as I read other reviews regarding the smell... More

Thank you very much for the kind review. We are delighted we were able to meet your expectations. We are also always somewhat surprised at the rare mentions of hotel guests being able to detect chlorine smells as the pool filtration system is salt water based - although chlorine is occasionally used to sanitize the pool deck and change rooms... My wife and I were wanting to see Jasper and we did. The hotel was old and had a old hotel smell to it. It was over priced for what it was. I got the breakfast package and the buffet was good but not worth the $18.00. Sorry guys

Thank you for your review. You comments are valuable to us, and one of the main tools utilized by the management team to ensure we meet our guest expectations and engage in product renovations and upgrades when required. Two thirds of our hotel rooms have been totally renovated, with all new components. The last third will undergo the final renovations... More

Hotel room was comfortable and spacious. Windows have grill-work covering them which was weird and impeded the view out the windows. Main complaint was with the dinner provided on the tour: it was terrible---the food was over-spiced and had too much sauce on it---we could not eat it. Breakfast service was super slow---we waited 45 minutes to be served breakfast.

Thank you for your review. The indoor facing rooms have the mesh in the windows (as observed) to comply with Alberta and Canadian building codes, to prevent a potential broken window from raining down on passer bys (which by the way has never happened). We apologize for not delivering a positive dining experience. Your comments are well received and will... More

Described by our travelling group as 'functional, beige, ok, stuffy' It was fine for a family of grandma, parents and two kids but not as good as other hotel stays on our canada travels with the same budget. Suggestions to others if you are looking at Sawridge: get an external facing room (the internally facing rooms are stuffy and dark)... More
