This is a motel property. Its clean, simple, rustic. Way overpriced for what it is but it is close enough to attractions. We had mice in the room, and when we informed them, they were not surprized and the comment was that they couldn't control that. The dining room food is very good, and dinner was excellent, although overpriced. dont... more
This is a great little resort if you have your own transport to get there as it is a 20 minute drive outside the main town. The grounds are well kept, my room was lovely and spotlessly clean, free wireless internet or free use of resort PC (wireless signal is a bit hit and miss mainly weather related) and I... more
The Sunwapta Falls Resort was close enough to Jasper and it was warm and the beds were nice. We felt like we were staying in a double wide trailer. There is nothing special about this resort, it is close to the Sunwapta Falls and it is cheap, Dinner at the resort was way overpriced, we would order a chicken sandwhich... more
With other nicer places to choose from in Jasper i would try hard to avoid this one if you can, i wish we had! I'm only glad that we only had to stay one night on the way to Whistler via Kamloops. What made it worse was that we had just stayed at a lovely place in Banff (Mountain Lodge... more
We stayed here over the August long weekend. We stayed in one of the duplex-type cabins. It wasn't cheap, but the price was well-warranted considering the excellent service and the beautiful setting. The room was very clean, the natural surroundings were beautiful, and the meal we had at the restaurant was on the pricey side but WELL worth it as... more
Stayed here for 2 nights while travelling through the Canadian Rockies. It was a bit scary and I didn't feel safe. The cabin had very thin walls, no phone and there is no reception for cell phones. The facilities were clean and adequate but it was a bit creepy and I was glad to move on! more
The nearby area is beautiful, but were disappointed with this place. It is not a resort in what an experienced traveler would expect. It is more like a budget motel. The location is right on a highway- like a truck stop. Although clean, the rooms are small, stuffy and hot. We arrived in the early evening and our room was... more
We stayed at Sunwapta Falls Resort in August. We were very disappointed with the shabby chalet type rooms. They are definately due a refurbish. However the restaurant, staff and food were great. Also one of the best gift shops around. Best bit about the stay was we saw a bear. As for the title Resort, this may be a slight... more
With 4 of us travelling, we booked a Sunwapta Suite - a Hideaway and a Rocky Mountain double with a connecting door. The rooms were large enough, clean and cosy; the staff friendly, polite and efficient; and the food excellent. Like everywhere in the Rockies in August, it was a little more expensive than we would have liked, but well... more
