Stayed here one night while enjoying Marmot Basin. Rooms were very tight and is in desperate need of a renovation. Bathroom was dirty with hair on the floor. The walls in 118 creaked all night while the heat was on but the only plus was the bed was comfy.

I enjoyed my experience here as it is in quiet area of town but not too far from everything. The beds were very comfortable and the room seemed quite modern. However, I agree with the reviews that said the the walls are "paper thin" and it was like elephants were upstairs as people were stamping on the floor. That's my... More

The Tonquin Inn seems to rely on repeat business and is probably more popular to those frequent travellers in the area who aren't necessarily on a big vacation. I've been here a few times in the last few years and live close enough to have checked out a few places over the years. It's pet friendly, an important factor in... More

First night we had no heat in the one area of our suite which was right by the door...door also let in a slight breeze...very cold. Second night we left our room at 10:30 am returning 11 hours later, -32 out and not being able to get into our room. Spent 30 minutes outside waiting for staff to try what... More

Situated in a quiet corner of Jasper town surrounded by beautiful mountains from a distance. Easy walking distance to the central town area and is also not far from the entrance to Maligne Canyon and Maligne Lake via driving. The room is extremely small and rundown but the staff service is excellent. Overall experience is still ok.

The bathroom in our room was not the cleanest, as there were handprints on the walls/doors and dirt in the corners- but the tub/sink areas were clean enough. The walls in this hotel are very thin and noise travels easily -not reccomended if you are a light sleeper. The staff was far from friendly and hardly spoke English, so communicating... More

We have been staying at the Tonquin Inn regularly since 2009. Our times at the Tonquin have traced our own growth, from dating, to marriage and now with small children and I can't imagine staying anywhere else. We have seen a manager or two come and go and a few staff changes along the way and the quality of the... More

My daughter and I stayed at this hotel in Jasper for the Dark Sky Festival. It was quiet, clean and reasonably priced; however, there was no wow factor. It was just ok. There is a fridge in the room and they did bring us a microwave upon request. We stayed there in October and their restaurant was already closed for... More

We were there for two night stay at Tonquin with other family memebers and all had the same complaint we couldn't cool down the room to our liking if the temp outside was below a certain temperature which made all 10 of us have very lousy sleeps. A couple of rooms even slept with door open to try and keep... More
