We rented a 2 bedroom stand-alone chalet to stay with a family of 5 for 4 nights. Some impressions: - 56km away from Jasper city and 21km from Hinton. Expect to be driving quite a bit to get groceries and for park activities. - The environment is very nice. Overlooking a nice valley. - The chalet is very spacious. A... More

The photographs of this hotel promised so much, and on our arrival, we also thought it would be a lovely stay. Having had a busy day and having travelled quite some distance, we looked forward to a nice dinner in the hotel restaurant, even though it was over-priced. However, when we went to the restaurant an hour after our arrival,... More

We recently stayed here for a three night stay with our younger children and I don't think I would return. There is no a/c (would have been nice to know about that in advance), no tv (which they told me about on the phone so I was aware and ok with that), wifi didn't work, blinds didn't work, no stopper... No air conditioner during summer, no television. Absolutely not the place for people who travelled with children. Very noisy at night even after 10 pm. Wifi sucks big time. This place is very over priced, value is less than a Motel 6.

We chose the Overlander as we couldn't find a hotel in Jasper that met with our requirements. The Overlander is perched on a hillside with an amazing panoramic view of the mountains surrounding Jasper. When we booked we were of the understanding we had a room in the main hotel but a later confirmation described room in an annexe building... More

On a recent hiking trip to Jasper, my daughter and I decided to give the Overlander a try. We stayed in a rustic 4 plex style cabin and really enjoyed it! The views were very pretty, and we quite enjoyed sitting on the large deck talking about the days events. Checkin was painless and while this smaller, rustic cabin type... More

I haven’t had the discomfort of staying at this hotel and I thank my stars for the same. I had only enquired about a reservation for which I provided my credit card details- lesson learned! Even though I did NOT confirm my reservation, I was wrongly charged the whole amount on my credit card. In past 10 days I talked... More

This place is just outside the national park, we were really disappointed, the rooms are small, no AC or TV, the walls are really thin, so we heard everyone walking up the stairs and their conversations. Our Garden view room was actually a view of the car park. The bathroom was tiny you could only just open the door, and... More

I didn't book this accommodation - it was booked by a couple we were travelling with. I have to admit I wasn't comfortable with this place and it wouldn't have been an accommodation I would have booked for the reasons I explain below. In the first place it is a long way from Jasper - 20-25 mins drive, with no... More

We had our first visit to Overlander this Fathers Day weekend, a nice getaway, we had hoped. On the phone when I reserved, I thought I was getting a cabin...when we checked in, we were disappointed to see that what we had was like a motel room...8 rooms in one building...so that was a let-down. Disappointment #1. The room itself... More
