A very comfortable and clean, basic room nicely decorated. Not for the physically challenged as there is no elevator. We had no problems lugging our luggage upstairs and it was about $20 less per night than nearby hotels. It was conveniently located within walking distance of most shops and restaurants etc. Staff were pleasant. more

My 23 year old son and I stayed here the first week of May for one night. No elevators. Very historic with lots of character. Free parking behind the hotel. We had two single beds in our room, with our own bathroom with shower, for $69/night. Hard to beat that price! Very clean. Good shower. Great location as it is... more

The previous entry by mblythin was spot on. I looked at 6 hotels before being directed to this one, right in the heart of town. It is the oldest hotel in town, as in 1929. The lobby was relatively impressive, the staff (particularly Francis), extremely helpful and the price excellent at only $76 per night including all taxes for 3... more

A strange mix of styles in this good quality budget hotel but having just come from a hostel in Vancouver I'd have to disagree with the previous reviewer. It's nothing of the sort. The hallway is rather grand and the rooms small but clean and well equipped with tv, hairdryer, sink etc and nicely furnished. The shared bathroom is small but... more

The main hotel in Jasper and seems to survive on the bar. Well refurbed rooms seemed at odds with the rest of the hotel which was tacky. Looked more like a hostel than a hotel. Watch out for +5% Sales tax and +7% resort tax. Allow £100/night for room with your own bath. Avoid Sunday night when there is a... more

Stayed here for night on a holiday long weekend. it was fully booked. Room was shared bathroom and had been renovated but was quite small, adequate enough I suppose. Bathrooms were renovated and clean. Hotel location can't be beaten in town if you want to be close to shops , pubs , train station etc. Our room was not airconditioned... more

The entrance one to this hotel is reminiscent to a ‘Fairmont’ with its Victorian style entrance way encircled by animal heads, wood panels and soft lighting but this is where any grandeur stops. My room during my stay was small and sparingly furnished but was clean and inviting. The cost a one night stay was $90 this included a double... more

Stayed there in Summer of 2007 while on a motorcycle ride through the Rockies. Was in a room with central bath, that is to say shared bathroom down the hall. The room was remarkebly adequate, featuring a tv, sink and comfortable bed. No AC but nice ceiling fan. Given Jasper prices in the summer, this was a nice deal, especially... more

Nice staff, clean rooms and common places, and it had the feel of a small railway hotel (in a grand/quaint/busy sort of way, although I'm no expert) even though we spent the Christmas holidays there! We had great views from our window South, in a large 2 double-bed room. As for location, it couldn't be better. We carted our luggage... more
