We were excited to stay at this hotel as it is older but incredibly well kept. When we booked our room (which was for the Sunday) they asked if it was okay that it was two floors above the bar, and being as it was a sunday night in off season in Jasper we figured how noisy could it be?... More

Upon entering this hotel I was greeted with a sour face at the front when asking about parking. As I had a party of 5, and booked this hotel on the terms that up to 2 guest stays free on existing beds on booking.com, so we went ahead and booked at quad room that could fit all 5 of us.... More

We were trying to save money on accommodation for our road trip through the Canadian Rockies so when I came across the Athabasca Hotel it was pretty much as cheap as a hostel and it had a restaurant/bar so I thought why not? I booked the Queen Room with Shared Bathroom - the room was very small and hardly any... More

The Athabasca hotel has a pretty bad reputation. So when it was the only room pretty much in town left for New Years eve, I was pretty hesitant. The room was really tiny but clean and practical. The staff was nice. I thought sharing the bathroom would be a pain and thought it would be dirty. However it was always... More

Great location, able to walk the town easily! The hotel feels a little dated, but it is historic so to be expected. The rooms on the front were pretty loud as there seemed to be a crowd that would come out of the sports bar in the hotel and finish socializing until about 2 in the morning! visitors and employees... Hotel in the middle of the centre of Jasper with lot of parking space in the neighbourhood. Lots of restaurants closeby (including the bears paw since there is no breakfast served). Staff is totally not interested in their clients. Entree is strange with two different pubs and a shabby restaurant which entrees also share the lobby. Rooms are ok, but... More

My stay at the centrally located Athabasca Hotel in Jasper was just a one night stopover in this beautiful town in the Rockies. The hotel is far enough away from the railway yard as not to be disturbed but close enough to everything. On entering the hotel it does look so different to almost anything I have stayed at before,... More

If travelling to Jasper, please book your hotel in advance. Nice friendly hotel, rooms are very nice, super comfy beds. Hotel needs a little updating but I think that adds to the charm. Rooms are very warm, could be doing with some air conditioning.

We are frequent visitors to Jasper because there is not a more beautiful place if you like the outdoors. I have stayed at the Athabasca Hotel before but my husband and I usually camp or stay with friends. Arriving in Jasper, without reservations during the Labour Day weekend, we were lucky enough to get their last room. This hotel is... More

This is an old school (I guess I should say boutique) hotel, right in the middle of Jasper town. I wasn’t sure what to expect when we walked in and saw the dated lobby, complete with lots of mounted game, but we were pleasantly surprised when we arrived in our room. It was small, but charming. Felt more like a... More
