Every restaurant had the best food and the best servers etc....but the accomodations may not be what you are expecting. We stayed in a very small king room with no fireplace even though they advertised there are fireplaces. We were assigned a room in the oldest cabin and farthest from the lodge. It was very warm the day we arrived... more

The location and hotel could not have been better. This is really the only place to stay in Jasper that is unique. It is charming and perfectly fits the idea of "luxury in the outdoors"! Service is wonderful. We did not stay at the Banff Springs Fairmont because it seems too huge and ostentacious. The Jasper location, etc however is... more

The name, Fairmont, scared me due to its notoriously pricy room rates. But I got a reasonable rate through Expedia at $225. Parking and internet are all free. There are tennis courts and a golf course. You can enjoy kayaking on the beautiful Lake Beauvert. Dining experience at the Meadows with view of the lake reflecting the sunset was one... more

Interesting that people have such different impressions of this hotel. We just got back from a 2 night stay and liked it a lot. I definately think that people expecting a typical Fairmont might be dissapointed. The hotel is not that fancy or elegant; rather, it is in a beautiful location, in nature, spread out, and relaxed. We actually liked... more

We planned to stay at the Jasper Lodge for 4 nights as part of our trip through the Rockies. We picked a lakeside suite since it was our anniversary although gulped at the price...in retrospect the accomodations were very nice but not for that price. We only lasted two nights not because there is anything wrong with Jasper Lodge but... more

I stayed here in July 2008, and was very suprised on entering the room how hot it was, and how basic it looked. There is no air conditioning, and the rooms look tired and poorly kempt on the outside It is not of the fairmont quality that is to be expected. The setting reminded me of a butlins holiday camp. We... more

We booked 1 night at the Fairmont in Jasper during our 2 week road trip. Having stayed at many fairmonts and comingn from the Fairmont Chateaux Lake Louise we had high expectations. While the main lodge is quite nice we were not impressed by our room (especially given the astronomical price!). We felt as though we were staying at a... more

This lodge was one of the hotels we stayed at on an APT tour of Canada and Alaska. Our room was upstairs in a lodge and we had our own balcony in he front with chairs and a table to relax. The room was very comfortable and in a lovely setting. We walked along the lake before dinner and it... more

We stayed at the Jasper Park Lodge as part of a Rocky Mountaineer tour and although overall found the hotel above average, we were disappointed in some respects. We stayed in a cabin some way from the main lodge and therefore felt a little isolated, even though there were cabins around us. In fact, our cabin was semi-detached and upon... more

I have been to this resort a few times. But the last time I'm doubting a little bit. The location is perfect!! I mean sitting there with a good glass of white wine in the middel of the Rockies at the lake. Perfect!! Rooms are okay, but to open the doors is with a old fashioned system and I heard... more
