We arrived in Jasper after a long day of driving from Banff and lots of stop offs at view points along the way. From check-in to check-out, everyone was so professional. We had a cabin right on the lake and sat on the Muskoka chairs watching the geese and ducks. It did start to sprinkle rain but nothing could spoil... more

Know what to expect. Read the reviews. This is a beautiful part of the country and we were not going to let the hotel deter from the surroundings. The lodge is in a beautiful area and we loved not being in a place with an elevator. The kids can go right out on the lawn and play. Yes it is... more

I have stayed at this property several times and love it. My last visit was in May, 2008 for a conference. The bell guys were great checking me in (I'm in the President's Club) and after returning to the lobby 'cos I didn't like the room I was assigned I received a complimentary upgrade to cabin 507 really close to... more

My husband and I decided to tour the amazing Canadian Rockied for our first wedding anniversary. One of our last stop on our tour was Jasper were we stayed at the JPL. The hotel in itself is in a beautiful surrounding. It faces the beautiful lake Beauvert and there is alot of wildlife roaming around the hotel (elks, goose, squirrels...).... more

The hotel's website states: "The Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge hotel invites you to experience the charming cabins and rustic elegance sure to invoke memories that will last a lifetime." Do not be misled. We stayed in a "Fairmont Room" for 2 nights in August 2008. "Rustic" it certainly was but there was nothing "charming" or "elegant" about it. For CAN$400... more

We stayed here for 2 nights on a tour of the Rockies. The hotel is actually a series of lodges. The room we were assigned was quite a way from the main hotel but we could see the lake which was stunning. Parking is a bit of an issue so if you are less mobile this might be inconvenient, although... more

We stayed here for several nights with our 7 year old twins on a trip through the Rockies. When we first arrived I was a little surprised as I was expecting pure luxury based on the Fairmont name. However, the place really grew on me as we stayed and wound up liking the ambiance better than the Fairmont Chateau where... more

I had the opportunity to stay at the Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge for two nights. It was a great experience. Having visited a number of the Fairmonts in western Canada this truly is a gem. While the others are nice in their own way this property is great. The setting is incredible. The pace is tranquil and not the hype... more

To be honest, we were not confident that this property would live up to what we expect from Fairmont. Check-in was slow and our "Fairmont Room" was not air-conditioned. We live in area where it stays hot and humid at night...not so in the Canadian Rockies. No air turned out to be no problem at night. We were rarely in... more

We stayed at the Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge for 2-nights(July 9th & 10th). Overall it was a very relaxing and enjoyable stay. Staff was very accomodating and the setting is very beautiful. Our lodging was situated on the lakefront with a short walk to the main lodge. The lodge has a few retaurants and retail stores in the basement. On... more
