Lovely setting and beautiful views from our lakefront junior suite but decor is tired. Rustic is fine in a national park and room was clean with good bed but lighting in bath and furniture need uodates. Food in restaurant is fine but old fashioned and too hearty for our tastes. We prefer fresher and local. Service was adequate but a... More

Spent three days in early September at the lodge. The lakefront suite view was spectacular but the suite itself falls short of that adjective considering the cost of over $600 a night. The corners in the bathroom floor were dirty and the paint on the door jam was peeling (I have pictures). The counter was cracked. The room is dated... More

This hotel is not what one expects of a Fairmont. It leaves much to be desired. To get hot water in September(not the middle of winter) you need to run the shower for a half hour. Ask for maintenance help? Wait for 45 minutes. Friends of ours had no heat for entire stay. Hotel did nothing. Hotel is way outside... More

We had a very disappointing stay at the Jasper Park Lodge. We had just had 3 nights at the Banff Springs Hotel which we liked so much that we decided to stay with Fairmont in Jasper and the concierge on the Gold floor booked it for us. The two Fairmonts are chalk and cheese! We arrived late in the day... More

Our room was in a subdivided 1930's hunting lodge. In general rooms are very outdated, our room had poor ventilation, no insulation between rooms (noisy), in need of general upkeep - paint/screens. There is no air conditioning in this hotel. Be very careful what room you are assigned. Some were better in quality. For the price this was very disappointing!... More

As per other people's reviews we have mixed feelings about the place. Fantastic setting with wildlife wandering around, kind and attentive staff and fantastic pool and leisure centre....but the wooden cabins and lodges are very poorly sound proofed and whilst generally clean and we'll appointed, some fittings were worn out and scruffy.....for the money charged it really is overpriced we... We got a great room rate. The experience was also discounted. Clumps of hair in the bathroom, we were hit with unexpected charges on our bill and machine made espresso was $5 on top of the $30 buffet.

very disappointed. our room was a premium cabin. The cabin and furniture were tired and tasteless. When we arrived at 9pm the Rocky Mountaineer had arrived and checking in for Fairmont Presidents club was a lengthy process. As we checked in a couple in front of us were complaining their room had no heating. We arrived at our cabin at... More

If it were not for the mountains, there would be no reason to stay at this hotel. The food was as terrible and as outdated as the hotel itself. Under some entitled, conservatory guise, the Fairmont is steeling from its loyal customer base; nice but clearly under trained and inadequately supervised staff, exorbitant rates, $25 Bacon n' Eggs, failing eaves... Dear Scott W, Thank you for sharing your experience with us. We are disappointed to read you felt our staffed undertrained. This is not a representative of the dedicated, hardworking staff we have. Each of our team members and managers are provided with ongoing departmental training, they also attend and participate in seminars which have been created by Fairmont Hotels... More
