Just over half of the hotel is finished renovations as the hotel changes from The Amethyst Lodge - an outdated brand - to The Crimson, which is bound to be one of the great new hotels in Jasper. Rooms boast new bedding and (and super comfortable new beds), Canadiana artwork and in the kitchenette suites they come equipped with Keurig... More

We were originally booked at the Chateau Jasper but told they "overbooked" and were moved to their sister property, The Crimson. It was under renovation. We were told this was an upgrade and a much better hotel. I disagree. Yes, it was closer to the downtown but no restaurant on site, the front desk was a desk in a hallway... More

We checked into the hotel very late on a Thursday night, parking was extremely limited because of renovations and there were very few amenities available (again due to renovations). But the updated décor was nice and the beds were extremely comfortable.

One of the best and biggest hotel in Jasper at a very reasonable cost compared to the pricing of the other properties. Located bang on the centre of the small town, a 5 min walking distance from the bus and train station in Jasper on the main road. Our Greyhound bus reached Jasper at 6 am. The check-in time was... Stayed there during the peak season in August, simply because everything else was booked. The place is run down, the rooms were dingy and not well-lit. Nothing really great to say about the hotel. To be fair, I should have known as this place was still available till a week before I went there, but having stayed in a couple... More

Paid $640 to stay 2 nights here, so was expecting a decent hotel room. Was booked by a friend, so didn't have a chance to check reviews before booking. So where to start!!! unpleasant smell in the room AC didn't work, just had a constant buzzing sound, kept me awake all night could hear the people in the room next... More

The motel was conveniently located and the check in staff were friendly, efficient and courteous. My daughter and I stayed for one night. As soon as we walked into our room we were greeted with an awful smell. We immediately opened the door to the small balcony, despite the cold wind blowing in! We then went for a walk up... More

We arrived in Jasper on the Skeena Train and the hotel is less that 10 minutes walk away from the station on the main road. We had a large ground floor room with a small patio area outside adjoining the carpark. The room was very comfortable but we were disappointed that the price paid did not include breakfast. The hotel... More

$300 per night is a bit steep for a motel that appears to have last been upgraded in the early 1990's. Carpets (lobby, hallways, rooms) are 'tired' and noticeably soiled in places, the amenities are scarce and very dated (the TV was c. 1992 vintage), and the bathroom was in need of re-tiling/caulking/new fixtures, etc. The room was noisy, as...
