Friendly helpful staff, washrooms with hot water. Plots we saw in A section all had plenty of trees and bushes. Fire pits and fire wood available $8 for a permit. Lots of temp camping and various rvs good mix of people. Ranger patrolled several times no issues. Quiet time at 11pm. Slight noise hum from highway. Overall good campsite would... More

Camped in Wabasso with my two kids (10 and 7) over a weekend in July. We tented in Wabasso in the "A" loop which is tent only and had a great expierence. The firewood permit is well worth it. The sites are well tree'd and spaced out. When booking ask for a closest to the river spot, the views of... More

Spacious campground with clean facilities. Great location by the river. Very friendly and helpful park staff. Spent one night as we passed through towards Calgary. Awesome point of departure for the glacier highway. Would definitely return - book in advance if you can.

We had a great site on the corner of a tent only loop next to the river. It was huge & pretty private! Daily fire permit is pricey, but unlimited firewood is a plus. Clean sites & well stocked bathrooms with hot water. The staff was great each night. You cannot pay to use the showers at Whistler campground, but... More

We stayed there at the beginning of July. I have stayed at all the campgrounds in Jasper except for that one. So when I was looking for a reservation I tried every other campground first. But every other campground was booked. So I reserved at Wabasso for the first time. The pictures on the reservation website are very helpful. Browse... More

Away from the bustle of the bigger campgrounds this is by far my favourite campground in Jasper. We stayed here in the tenting sites summer of 2013, and participated in the campfire singalong in 2013 and 2014 :) We will be staying in a power site at Wabasso when we make our annual trip to jasper three days from now.... Apart from the cold nights this campground was pretty decent, especially when we booked the site only a day in advance! We were given a small site for our tent and a small fire pit. Unfortunately no showers on this site and also a ridiculous amount of mosquitos so bring spray! The surroundings are incredible.

This is a lovely campground - very quiet, large pitches, good shower facilities, good location. You feel like you are truely camping in the wilderness, although you are only 15 minute drive from Jasper. Every evening we saw a group of Elk around the Campground. You are also close to plenty of lovely walks (Valley of the Five Lakes) and... More

This was a very quiet campground: far from the highway noise, adjacent to the river, and along a long lonely road. Perfect for us. Much quieter than the bigger campsites closer to town. Only 15 minutes to Jasper townsite. Very BIG sites.

We really enjoyed our stay here, even though we didn't have the very best spot (which I think would probably be A#85). (A#82 was a good spot, along river but had to climb a little hillock to get unobstructed view of the river and mountains to the east, which we did for reading in the evening.) Bathrooms in our loop... More
