We tent camped here on way home from Alaska. We did not have reservations, but had no trouble getting a site. Although on this trip we were just passing through, I think this campground would be an excellent base for exploring the park, plus it is close enough to town if you don't feel like cooking a meal or need... We tent camped here for 2 nights on our honeymoon. The site was full while we were there so there were lots of neighbours but still fairly private. Our pitch (t4) was quite open but with some trees. We were half a mile from the shower block so it was time consuming to get there. Lots of people were driving... More

We booked our camping trip to Jasper only a week in advance. This was the only campground that had any electrified spots left. We pulled in with out tent-trailer after dark, in the rain, so weren't sure what we would find when we woke up. We woke to a pretty, well-treed site with a fire pit. Lots of space and... More

We tent-camped at Wapiti because we have enjoyed it in the past. We like that campsites are not as close to each other as in some other Cdn national park campgrounds, the campground is relatively close to the town of Jasper and to good hiking, and we like having seen elk and black bear in the campground in previous years.... For being such a huge camping destination you would think the campsites would at least have SOME power. Got really tiring trying to find sites. Easy to get into the first come first served PARKING LOT - but it is really truly just that, an expensive cement parking lot. Bathrooms are kept nice and clean but I never had hot... More

I just spent a month camping from Alaska to Alberta. BC has got tthe nicest provincial campgrounds bar none. Then theYukon is next, then Alberta. Alaska well...... class to it's own. But al in all I'm dissapointed in this campground.

Great campground close to Downtown Jasper. We stayed here with family for a few days and loved it. Lots of wildlife on campground and close to the river. Unlimited firewood but permit required. Would highly recommend it to anyone.

Just stayed here on labor day weekend. No complaints. A solidly good campsite. Facilities are great but at same time you still feel like you're in the woods. Park rangers friendly. I guess only feedback is you're not 'up close' to the mountains or water.

Not a pleasant place. Hard to find the tent sites. The location is great, but I would not recommend coming in later or in the dark. One more thing, kreepy caretaker. Stay at the other place (three sisters? or something like that).

We love this campground compared to Whistlers across the road. This one is private and has more trees. We always book online and even though you can't pick sites we end up with nice sites each time. I have stayed in the W loop each time we come and twice now I've received river side without asking. The sites along... More
