Wapiti is in desperate need of a revamp. Go for a drive to the showers/firewood pickup area and you'll know what I mean -pot holes that you can ditch a small car in. In terms of site privacy, we were at M3 and this part in particular was in desperate need of some TLC. The site was littered with trees... More

Good campground close to Jasper, excellent base to explore the national park. Tent sites in more wooded section & separated from the RVs. Nice hot showers, friendly staff. Reserve your spot, as they are often booked full in summer, though it doesn't feel crowded even when full.

We chose Wapiti (over Wabasso, where we had camped a decade ago) hoping to see elk roam the campsite and we weren't disappointed! Kids were thrilled. Our site was carefully chosen months in advance, based on reviews and studying the map on the Parks Canada site. As such, we were lucky enough to have some privacy, and we were across... More

Nice clean campsite! Wood included in your fee. Stayed 7 nights, enjoyed all 7 except for one night with the one noisy family who decided it was ok to have kids running around at 11:00, yelling and hollering. there is not a lot of privacy, but they are nice sites! Pretty cool to see the elk right in the campsites.... More

An okay campground, not great if you have a large camping trailer or RV. But there was lots of firewood, the prices was right. The sites are just too close together. We are used to camping in the BC Provincial Parks, where the sites are actual sites, this one was a bit like an old field that just had picnic... More

If you want 22 neighbours staring at you while you are wanting to relax and enjoy your camping experience then this is the place for you. If you want to hear your neighbour who is 10 feet away snoring along with several other neighbours nearby, then this is the place for you. If you want washrooms that are only cleaned... More

My wife and I stayed at Wapiti for 3 nights in June 2015. We had a very pleasant stay. Our site was nice, the restrooms were clean, and we even got to see some wildlife....We were quite surprised when we woke up and saw a pack of mule deer a few feet from our camper. It is rather close to... More

It is hard to find a bad National Park campground and this one is no exception. What makes this campground special is the location; close to town and on the river. There are many campsites along the river, some with views of the river and some just close proximity; which means you hear the sounds of the rapids and only... More

I was here with a group of friends. We went to other campgrounds before but this one was really the best one of all the campgrounds. Clean toilets, clean showers, vending machines. The wapiti's even came standing next to our tents. Staff is very friendly. If you are in Jasper, you should definitely camp here!

We tented at Wapiti and were quite impressed. They had little covered areas where you could escape the rain and dine. The lots were perfect. We tented and had quite a large tent and were more than satisfied. The showers were an added bonus. After sleeping in the tent all night and it being rainy we felt a bit sticky... More
